Itinerary of your trip Sussegado Goa - Goa To Goa - 5 Day Moto Tour

  • Day 1 Day 1: North Goa (140 Km | 86 Miles)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: North Goa (140 Km | 86 Miles)

We begin the day with a short ride to the architectural epicenter of goa, namely Old goa. You will be teleported to another land as you ride along tree lined roads and witness the stunning architecture, an ode to times bygone and goas tryst with Portuguese culture.

Back to the bikes and onto a ferry that takes us to one of goas many (river) islands. Divar and Charao are well connected and make for a stunning back country circuit with low traffic and idyllic village-scapes. The Salim Ali bird sanctuary is located on Chorao island which means that the skies and marshes are a riot of colors and teeming with birdlife.

We break for lunch before heading into the hills and the North Western border of, the state. Low traffic and mountain roads ensure we escape the afternoon heat as we twist our way to the Northern most point of goa, Querim (Keri). A short ride before sunset will take us to our hotel at Mandrem, one of the most relaxing beaches of North goa.

Sundowner watching the sky turn acid colors, and finish with a Seafood meal at the in-house restaurant.

  • Day 2 Day 2: South Goa (160 Km | 99 Miles)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: South Goa (160 Km | 99 Miles)

An optional early sunrise Yoga session followed by a healthy breakfast at one of the popular food establishments that North goa is renowned for. We leave the busy coastal route and head inland towards the village of Aldona. Old Portuguese style bungalows and lush countryside showcase an lesser known goa, as we ride along black tarmac snaking through an ocean of  green..

Making our way towards the Karnataka border at Castle rock, we ride deep into the Western ghats through forests that are as ancient as Earth. One of the oldest mountain ranges in the world, this contiguous chain of volcanic mountains run 2500 km from Gujarat to Kerala, hosting a remarkable biodiversity that we witness first hand.

Our final stretch of riding takes us back to the coastline, as we race against the Sun to get to Agonda. Our halt tonight is the jewel of South goa, a picture postcard stretch of sand, surf and coconut palms.

      Sundowners/ massage/ Chill

  • Day 3 Day 3: Goa To Gokarna (100 Km | 62 Kms)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 3: Goa To Gokarna (100 Km | 62 Kms)

An easy start since todayโ€™s ride is a fairly short and straightforward. We exit Goa on Nh 66 , the soon to be completed multi lane expressway that races along the West Coast of India. The industrialized look of Karwar takes away some of the magic as does riding on the expressway, but fret not as our destination today is the legendary OM beach.

Gokarna, the nearby village is one of the Jyotirlinga, thereby a popular pilgrimage centre, but sharing its shoreline lies the beautiful OM beach, which has accorded legendary status to this stretch of the ocean. Approachable in the past only by a longish trek, it was the perfect getaway for tourists who were getting tired of the overcrowding on the beaches of goa. A new road keeps the beach less secluded now, but once the sun starts oin down, its easy to understand why this was such a hard to keep secret.

Just relax by the beach or take an invigorating walk along the cliff.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Gokarna To Dandeli (160 Km | 99 Miles)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 4: Gokarna To Dandeli (160 Km | 99 Miles)

Say goodbye to the coast as we make our way into the Western ghats, yet again. We want to leave the expressway and reduce the KM to backtrack into goa, so we take a road approach through Karnataka and climb into the heart of the hills. The interesting part is that the road traces an almost parallel to the Goa state boundary. The  landscape same on either side of the imaginary line but different because man decided it needed to be so. A change in temperature, the traffic and quality of roads indicate that we are back in motoadventure territory. (Optional) off-road trails and secret streams and waterfalls are todayโ€™s possibilities.

We overnight today in the hills, a distinct change from the previous 3 nights. The call of cicadas and roaring bonfires lull us into a deep slumber with dreams (or not) of big Cats prowling in the dark.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Dandeli - Panaji (140 Km | 87 Miles)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 5: Dandeli - Panaji (140 Km | 87 Miles)

We begin post breakfast, staying in the Western ghats as we re-enter goa from the South East . An (optional) off-road track presents an interesting challenge if we are upto it. Alternatively an easy, twisting road keeps us company as we descend into the fertile plains of goa.

We reach Panaji before Sunset, leave our bikes at the designated point and onwards to a farewell drink/meal.
