Your guide will meet you at the Hotel and spend the morning with you. During the tour you’ll learn the history of the cradle of the Renaissance, as Florence is called, and have a general orientation of the city. Your guide will show you the Duomo, the Baptistery and Giotto’s Belltower, Piazza della Signoria with its amazing statues and the Palace of the Government. Cross the Ponte Vecchio, and admire the Oltrarno neighborhood. After a nice walk to admire medieval churches and Palaces, you’ll arrive at the Accademia where you’ll have preferential entrance to see the famous and original Michelangelo’s David, one of the most famous works of art of the world.

Day 2: Half Day Tour Of The Uffizi Gallery And The Church Of Santa Croce

Your guide will meet you at the Hotel and walk with you to the Uffizi Gallery. The Uffizi gallery is one of the most famous museum of the world and the most visited museum in Italy. Built for Cosimo I to host the offices of the Government, now the building hosts at the second floor an amazing number of paintings and ancient Roman statues. It is difficult to get an orientation and choose the most important paintings to see, unless you want to spend inside an entire day!

We will spend about 2 Hours inside the museum and we will admire its highlights like Botticell’is Venus, the Tondo Doni by Michelangelo, and other masterpieces by Leonardo and Raphael.

After the museum, the tour proceed to the church of Santa Croce, where you will admire the wonderful gothic architecture and the tumbs of some of the most famous illoustrious men like Michelangelo, Galileo and Niccolo’ Macchiavelli.

Taste the flavors of the authentic Tuscan cooking with this private gourmet food tour in Florence. Visit markets, taste wine, and learn about the region’s culinary history. Italian food is famous all around the world and Florence offers some of the most delicious local products. With a professional guide and food expert, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the best products and places in town, and at the same time, experience the local culture.

Your guide will meet you at your hotel, starting the tour with a typical Italian coffee. You will then walk to a central local market, immerse in its colors, perfumes, and lively atmosphere. Taste schiacciata and bread, truffle crostini, the best Tuscan olive oil, and learn about the history and process to produce them. Afterward, stop for a tasting of balsamic vinegar and learn how to recognize the real one.

The walk will proceed through the narrow, bustling, and colorful streets of the city, visiting a chocolate shop or having an ice-cream tasting according to the season. The tour will end with an aperitivo with prosecco and truffle panini in an historical street in the heart of the fashion area.
