Itinerary of your trip 3 Day Speyside Whisky Tour

  • Day 1 Day 1
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1

After departing Edinburgh, you will escape the city and head north for a quick photo stop at Edinburghโ€™s iconic Forth road and rail bridges, before heading into the Kingdom of Fife. Here your whisky pilgrimage begins as we visit Lindores Abbey Distillery. Youโ€™ll learn the whisky-making process here, and get to try some of their delicious Aqua Vitae, as they wait for their whisky to mature. The next stop is lunch, where there is time to take a walk around and enjoy a local lunch before heading to our next distillery for a tour and tasting. Your journey now continues into Grantown-on-Spey. Founded in 1766 by Sir James Grant, Grantown on Spey is your home for the next 2 nights.

  • Day 2 Day 2
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2

Today starts with a drive along the northern bank of the River Spey, followed by a visit to Glenfarclas Distillery. Today we will visit the fascinating Speyside Cooperage. Here you will get an insight into the often forgotten art of the cooper โ€“ the people responsible for the casks used by the distilleries. We will also visit at least 2, usually 3 distilleries for exclusive tastings and tours.

  • Day 3 Day 3
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3

After a hearty breakfast, it is a short drive to The Glenlivet Distillery to kick off your Wednesday morning. The guides at Glenlivet will be taking you on a private tour before letting you sample some amazing distillery exclusives. You will now return south and say farewell to Speyside, through Drumochter Pass.
