      On Arrival to Easter Island Airport, reception at the Airport with flower necklace and transfer to your hotel.  

      Ftee time to rest or have light lunch (on your own).

      In the afternoon, visit the archaeological sites of Ahu Akivi, Ana Te Pahu, and Puna Pau on the half-day tour. Discover the platform with 7 moai that, according to oral tradition, was created in honor of the first explorers of Rapa Nui. Additionally, we take you to explore the pukao quarry, Puna Pau, where the most attractive pukao (red scoria hats or headdresses that crown the heads of some moai) are found, and where you can also enjoy a panoramic view of the Hanga Roa village.

      We will also visit the astonishing cave Ana Te Pahu, a tube formed by the flow of volcanic lava thousands of years ago, which the ancient Rapa Nui are believed to have used as a dwelling and a refuge during times of social instability. Here, you can see archaeological remains that will allow you to imagine what life was like in that place.

      This tour provides insight into the connection between the ancient inhabitants of Easter Island and the Universe. The excursion includes ceremonial centers erected in the central area of the island during the last period of Moai construction, the most significant in Rapa Nui culture. Megalithic archaeological sites stand out, demonstrating how astronomy determined the arrangement of the giant statues and the platforms they stand on, offering a glimpse into the worldview of the ancient Polynesian navigators who populated Easter Island.

      All visited points incorporate ancient sites created and used during the end of the Ahu-Moai phase. These sites represent various cultural developments in Rapa Nuiโ€™s history, strategically deployed around ceremonial centers.

      Relax in the morning and enjoy the hotel facilities. We have to find that perfect spot to observe the eclipse โ€” either on the resort grounds or at another location (perhaps a moai site) on your own.  On that day, local and tourists will enjoy the spectacle having a picnic for ex. 

      The eclipse begins at 12:24 p.m. local time; mid-eclipse occurs at 2:07 p.m. with the Sun due north at an elevation of 67ยฐ; annularity lasts 6.1 minutes. The eclipse ends at 3:52 p.m. 

      Later in the afternoon, we invite you to visit the local market, or do a walking tour of the town of Hanga Roa.

      Visit Orongo, Rano Kau and Vinapu in the tour "The Legend of the Bird Man". This half-day tour will take you through archaeological sites where you can be amazed by the ceremonial village for cult to Make-Make and Tangata Manu, as well as the impressive Rano Kau crater, the widest and deepest on the island, and visit the platform (ahu) with the best carved rocks, where you can also see remains of moai and pukao.

      Guided tour through some of the most important ceremonial centers of Easter Island. The journey includes rock paintings and archaeological sites of significant cultural value, an ascent to the Rano Kau volcano, and an interpretive trail through the ancestral village of Orongo.

      This route allows you to delve into Rapa Nui mythology, discover important elements of the islandโ€™s geography, and understand the enigmatic history of the ancient inhabitants of this isolated point on the planet.  The visit incorporates the locations where the annual competition of Tangata Manu (the Birdman) took place, based on a fundamental legend of Rapa Nui culture. The myth indicates that the man who captures the first egg of the Manutara (a characteristic Easter Island bird) will be invested with supernatural powers and will exercise political-military leadership of the island for one year.

      At the agreed time, transfer to Mataveri Airport to take your next flight to Santiago
