Itinerary of your trip All Seasons 3 Days Micro Tour To Montenegro And Bosnia From

  • Day 1 Day 1: Budva
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Budva

Budva historical center. Budva free time. Accommodation in Budva.

The Budva Riviera is one of the most popular and scenic destinations in a country bursting with natural beauty. From the ancient old town to the rivieraโ€™s sun-soaked beaches, Budva has it all!

Budvaโ€™s 2,500-year-old old town is a beautiful collection of stone buildings, jutting out into the Adriatic Sea. Wander the old townโ€™s alleyways, with their walls covered in ivy and pale-purple wisteria flowers and ancient churches.

Inside the old town, Budva museum houses hundreds of artifacts that were uncovered in Montenegroโ€™s devastating earthquake in 1979. The earthquake reduced the countryโ€™s old towns to rubble, but unearthed local treasures that showed the town to be much older than originally thought.

Budvaโ€™s citadel got its current form from the Austro-Hungarians, who fortified it and built barracks. Today, visitors can explore the library and museum, and enjoy the views of the whole Budva Riviera.

The Budva Riviera is a stretch of coast from Budva town to Petrovac. The riviera hides little getaways, idyllic beaches, and Mediterranean villages.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Kotor / Perast / Trebinje
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Kotor / Perast / Trebinje

Kotor historical center (UNESCO World Heritage site), Kotor fortress, Perast coastal town, Trebinje winery, Trebinje free time. Accommodation in Trebinje.

The stunning Kotor is the countryโ€™s finest town and Kotor bay is one of the most scenic and picturesque places on the Adriatic sea!

Because of its strategic importance in this turbulent region, it has been under rule by different nations. Each of them leaving a mark that can be seen today through a beautiful blend of architectural influences. Romans, Turks, Venetians, Austrians, each nation, left a mark on this region and its cities.

Kotor is defined by its fortifications, and those defensive walls lead all the way up the townโ€™s protective hill before opening up with one of the most incredible views in all of Montenegro.

The Castle of San Giovanni awaits at the top, and while this may be little more than a ruin it still provides a scenic spot from which to take in the entire scene.

All in all, Kotor is a beautiful old Mediterranean coastal town; one of the most historically fascinating towns in Montenegro, featuring jaw-dropping views of the bay of Kotor.

Kotor is not only the most beautiful and best-preserved town in Montenegro but also one of the most popular destinations on the Adriatic coastline.

Montenegro is full of beautiful seaside villages, but few strike visitors in the heart as forcefully as idyllic Perast. Serenely set along the waves of the sea, this one-street charmer is teeming with once-magnificent palaces and a romantic charm that is impossible to do justice on paper.

In contrast to Budva, Perast is a sleepy idyll thatโ€™s epitomises the Mediterranean seaside. The tiny hamletโ€™s seafront is lined with stone palaces of a bygone era. Once home to powerful shipping families, Perastโ€™s crumbling palaces have been restored into luxurious hotels and restaurants. Picture-perfect Perast lies in the centre of the Bay of Kotor and has views over the Verige Strait and the two island churches of Our Lady of the Rocks and Saint George.

Perast has a long history, which is dating back to the 13th century. As the center for boaters, captains and sailors, the small town grew steadily and gained wealth at the 16th century. During a walk through the old town you can still admire many splendid villas and marvelous buildings, which have already been well restored.

Perast, as an absolute highlight of the Bay of Kotor, is also one of the most beautiful Baroque towns in Montenegro.

Later, we will drive toward Bosnia. It offers historical towns and cities with an Ottoman core combined with Austro-Hungarian and contemporary architecture.

Trebinje is one of the best-kept secrets of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The heart-shaped country is home to many treasures, such as the capital city Sarajevo, the historical town of Mostar and the religious Tekke of Blagaj, but for those who are looking for places off the beaten path, Trebinje is the perfect destination.

This small medieval city, located near the Croatian border, is part of Republika Srpska, also known as the Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The town is situated along the beautiful river Trebisnjica.
