  • Day 1 Day 1: Scenic Tour Of Wicklow, Guided Walk โ€“ Stay Glendalough.

      Morning/ Afternoon

      Scalp Loop Walk: Carrickgollogan Hill.

      Grade: easy/moderate Length: approx. 8km, Duration: 1.5 -2hrs, Ascent: 120m, Terrain: Forest track and open hillside.


      Your tour starts with a pickup from Dublin and a scenic tour through this beautiful County. We will travel Deep into the heart of the Wicklow Mountain National towards Glendalough where we will be staying for two nights. On the drive we will see Enniskerry, film location of "P.S. I love you" and "Leap Year".Glencree, the Sally Gap, Lough Tay, The Guinness family Estate and film location of "Brave Heart".

      We will travel into the heart of the Wicklow Mountain National Park while making our way towards Glendalough where we will be staying for the next two nights.

      We will be staying at a Guesthouse in Glendalough, which provides excellent accommodation with great facilities. We will visit one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland. This is a fantastic location to start this tour and Iโ€™m sure you will agree when you see it.

      Evening: After your tour you will be brought to your accommodation to relax for a while and in the evening enjoy a meal in the Wicklow Heather restaurant.

  • Day 2 Day 2: The Spinc And Glendalough Valley Walk โ€“ Glendalough

      The Spinc and Glenealo Valley Loop Walk:

      Grade: moderate, Length: approx. 12km, Duration: 3-4hrs, Ascent: 380m, Terrain: Forest track, open hillside and boardwalk.

      Morning / Afternoon: Today after a hearty breakfast we will be doing one of the finest walks in the valley of Glendalough. What is known locally as the Spinc walk will bring you deep into the valley of Glendalough and above teh uipper lake in this area. Glendalough is a Gaeilge word and translates into the valley of the two lakes. The walk will bring us through a wonderful trail anmd out into teh side of a hill over looking the whole valley, The track is very good and well marked between board walks and open tracks. The views from this walk are incredible and vistas you will remember for ever. 

      Afternoon: Some sightseeing and visit the town of Avoca, famed for its old woolen mill which is still in operation today and one of the oldest in the country. Today though this small town is probably best known as the film location of "Ballykissangel" where Colin Farrell made his big break.

      Evening: When we arrive back to Glendalough itโ€™s time to relax, have a meal and something to drink.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Powerscourt Waterfall & Gardens, The Wicklow Way โ€“ Enniskerry

      Day 3: Powerscourt Waterfall & Gardens, The Wicklow Way โ€“ Enniskerry

      Morning: We will leave Glendalough today and drive to Enniskerry.

      Maulin and Powerscourt Waterfall โ€“ Loop Walk:

      Grade: moderate, Length: approx. 10km, Duration: 3hrs, Ascent: 450m, Terrain: Forest track, open hillside.

      This walk offers the best views across Powerscourt Waterfall as well as the Wicklow Coastline and the surrounding countryside.

      Our walk today starts from Crone wood. We will be following part of the Wicklow Way trail through a forested area and out onto the side of Irelandโ€™s highest Waterfall โ€œPowerscourtโ€.

      Following the trail up and along this waterfall we come out to an opening and cross an old stone wall and onto a path leading up to the top of Maulin, where we can stop for a bite to eat. The man-made features in this beautiful part of Wicklow, dry stone walls, romantic little cottages, fields bearing the marks of long-gone potato ridges. From here we will follow a ridge in an easterly direction towards a dry-stone wall and follow this back down through a forest trail back to where we started.


      Afterwards we will visit The Powerscourt Gardens in Enniskerry. They were voted 3rd the best gardens in the World by the National Geographic and are really worth visiting while in the area.

      We then take the scenic drive through Glencree valley and back to Dublin.
