Where does the experience start? Will you pick me up at the airport or hotel?

The experience begins in La Paz. Upon your arrival at El Alto de La Paz International Airport (LPB) you must go on your own to the hotel or the Trans Totai terminal at the agreed time to start the adventure.

Are there any medical or vaccination requirements?

Currently there are no mandatory vaccinations for visiting Bolivia, however it is recommended to take the yellow fever vaccine if you are coming from endemic areas. We suggest you check directly with the embassy for all travel information.

What happens if I get sick or injured during the trip and I can&#x27;t go on?

It is always important to have travel insurance. Any situation first is to warn your guide, depending on the case the necessary assistance will be given and even if it is required to finish the experience. The guide will be in charge of logistics and evacuation to Rurrenabaque.

What currency do you recommend I bring? Where can I change?

Accepted Answer

The currency used is the Bolivian (BOB). We recommend you to change to the local currency before arriving in the country. It is also possible to bring USD and change upon arrival, it can be changed in many places: banks, exchange houses, etc. Ask your guide to know the places where it is possible to make the change of currency.

Does not include international flights, travel insurance, food and beverages not mentioned, tips, other personal expenses. We recommend that you bring about $30 USD per day for general expenses.

The groups are between 02 to 15 people maximum.

Do I have free time during the activities of the experience?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the day, once the scheduled activities are over, you will generally be able to enjoy free time to relax and take pictures. This time will be announced by the guide at the beginning of your experience.

After the programmed activities you can rest at the camp, get to know your fellow travelers better and enjoy the nature around you. 
In La Paz you can visit the market of Brujas, the cable car, go up to the Valley of the Moon, walk to the church San Francisco and much more. 
Consult your guide for more information about the places you can visit. Activities and visits during free time are not included.

If meals are included, what&#x27;s the menu going to be like?

This experience includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is prepared by a cook who accompanies the team, the dishes include chicken, meat and of course fish cooked in the typical style. 
For vegetarian options it is important to inform the guide in advance.

What&#x27;s the average price of a meal?

Accepted Answer

Meal options can vary from $7 to $15 USD. We recommend bringing a daily total of approximately $35 USD for the first, second and last day.

How are the accommodations within this adventure? Which are the hotels?

This experience includes planned accommodation in a comfortable bus: round trip from Rurrenabaque to La Paz by Bus-Cama. Las Pampas: Dolphins Rustic Cabin or similar - Shared double room Camp Madidi: Fun accommodation in hanging tents - Single or double occupancy. NOTE: Hotels/Cabins are subject to change without prior notice upon arrival, you can request more information or confirmation via Chat directly to your guide 1 week prior to arrival.

What happens if I’m traveling by myself? Is it possible?

Of course you can travel alone, but you must add a mandatory individual supplement. If you do not want to pay the extra you must select some of the following start dates during 2021: July 12 and August 09.

What is the minimum age? Does the price change for minors?

Accepted Answer

The minimum recommended age for this adventure is 05 years old. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult (+18). 
The experience is recommended to people up to 70 years old with good physical condition.

If I arrive a day early or leave a day late, where can I stay?

Accepted Answer

For this experience, the departure and return are in La Paz. If you wish to take additional nights in these cities, consult with your guide through the traveler&#x27;s chat within your session, to know which are the best options.

Will I have internet and/or phone coverage, as well as Wifi?

Accepted Answer

Wifi is only available at the planned cabin in Rurrenabaque, Las Pampas. For Internet and Phone coverage, please check with your local company. If you wish, you can buy a local SIM card to keep in touch, however there is usually no coverage in the jungle of Madidi National Park.

Will I be able to charge my electronics?

Yes, it is possible to charge electronic devices in the Pampas cabin. The camp in Madidi National Park does not have connectors. The equipment has some solar chargers, but it is recommended to take a portable charger or spare battery.

What voltage is used, do I need an adapter?

Accepted Answer

The voltage in Bolivia is 220V/230V with a frequency of 50 Hz. The outlets have two holes and the plugs have two flat pins type A or two circular pins type C. Mexican and Colombian travelers may need an adapter.

The first day you arrive in La Paz. We recommend arriving in the morning hours as the bus to Rurrenabaque leaves at approximately 4:00 pm.

The last day of your experience you arrive at the La Paz bus station around 06:00 hrs. Afterwards you will have to go on your own to the airport or hotel.

No specific physical condition is required, however the experience includes long walks

Do I need travel insurance? What should my policy cover?

Accepted Answer

To visit Bolivia it is not necessary to have a travel insurance, however, we recommend to have a complete medical insurance that covers the main ones and any type of emergency, also that covers any eventuality as the delay or the cancellation of the flights.

Do I need any special equipment? What kind of clothing do I need?

Accepted Answer

Jungle or safari clothing that is comfortable and light, hiking shoes, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen and insect repellent. A raincoat is also recommended.

It is recommended to carry a small-medium size backpack and carry only what is necessary.

Do I need a visa to enter the country?

Accepted Answer

It is necessary to check directly with your country&#x27;s embassy to confirm if there are any visa requirements. This will depend on your nationality; some nationalities do require a visa to enter Bolivia. It is also important that the passport has at least six months validity from the return of the trip.
