After crossing the Pelu River, you will enter rough and challenging terrain. Continue to the Hโ€™mong highlands where a picnic lunch will be organized. In the afternoon, you will continue your trek through the villages. Overnight stay at homestay. (Walking time about 8 hours, about 20 km).

After lunch, you will take a short walk and reach Dau Dang Waterfall, which thunderously makes its way through a maze of rocks. Overnight at the homestay.

      Drive to the national park. Once there, you can get detailed information about the national park at the visitor center with the help of pictures. Very interesting is especially the "Endangered Primate Rescue Center" - the center for the conservation of the 15 rarest primate species in the world, founded already in 1993. Afterwards you will drive about 20 kilometers into the heart of the national park, the starting point of your challenging trekking through numerous rivers and over some mountains with partly steep ascents and descents. The destination of your trek is Khanh village, a Muong settlement, whose hospitable inhabitants are already waiting for you and will serve you a typical dinner. Overnight stay in a homestay. (Walking time about 5-6h, 600 mโ†‘โ†“, 18 km).

      After a rustic night in a traditional stilt house, you will be awakened by the calls of the wild and life awakening early in the village. Continue with a raft ride on the Buoi River. Drive to Van Long. Here you will change to bicycles and ride about eight kilometers along small picturesque villages. From the port you will take a small sampan boat to Van Long nature reserve, where you have very good chances and observe black langurs. Then transfer to Ninh Binh and travel by night train to central Vietnam. Overnight on the train in simple four-bed compartment. (Travel time on the train about 8h).

      The highlight of the day is a visit to Hang En Cave (Swift Cave). After a winding drive of about two hours, you will reach the starting point of your hike. The path leads partly over stones and roots, which are often also wet and slippery and require your full attention. Several times it means to ford smaller rivers and you may also have to swim a bit on the way to the cave. While you explore the cave, your tents will be pitched by the porters in the meantime and for dinner all participants will gather around the campfire. Since there is no electricity here, the cave is illuminated at dusk with flashlights and flashlights. Enjoy the unique atmosphere in this unusual accommodation. Overnight stay in tent. (Driving time about 2h, 90 km, walking time about 4h, 10 km).

After a drive of several hours, you will finally reach the ecologically sustainable village of Chay Lap, where you will relax after the efforts of the last few days.       Today you will pay a visit to the interesting Botanical Garden in Phong Nha. Afterwards, you will head to Paradise Cave, which has only been open to the public since the end of 2010. With its 31 kilometers length, it is the longest dry cave of the National Parkโ€™s cave system. Return to Chay Lap. Then paddle a long stretch by kayak on the river through rich tropical vegetation.
