  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrive In Casablanca

      Day 1: Arrive In Casablanca

      Arrive in Casablanca and meet our english speaking driver/guide where we will transfer you to the hotel. Please note that this tour does not spend any time in Casablanca. You may wish to come a day early in order to explore Casablanca, and take some time to see its medina, beachfront, and classic examples of Art Deco architecture. Be sure to also visit the spectacular Hassan II Mosque.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Casablanca - Meknes - Volubilis - Fes

      Day 2: Casablanca - Meknes - Volubilis - Fes

      After breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Meknes. Meknes is one of the four Imperial cities. Continue through the rolling hills to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. Once an important Roman town situated near the westernmost border of Roman conquests, Volubilis was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. Continue to Fes to spend the night. Stay in the new city of Fes, built by the French during their Protectorate of Morocco. 

      This is a long and busy day. The times listed are actual driving times and do not include stops. We will stop to explore Meknes and Volubilis, and not arrive in Fes until the evening.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Fes

      Day 3: Fes

      Step back in time and embark on a walking tour of a UNESCO World Heritage Site โ€” the Medina of Fes. Explore winding lanes and alleys to visit the many artisans, tanneries, and shops with an expert local guide. After, enjoy a G Adventures-supported traditional tagine lunch at a cooperative that benefits rural Moroccan women and children. This evening, visit a nearby cafรฉ where we meet a local expert in Islamic calligraphy for a demonstration on "beautiful writing".   • Day 4 Day 4: Fes - Marrakesh

      After breakfast at your hotel. Travel to Marrakesh. 

      You will arrive in Marrakech, a city of pleasure for both visitors and locals, where southern tribesmen and Berber villagers bring their goods to market and find a variety of entertainment. To tourists, the city is a feast for the imagination, full of incomparable beauty, situated before the towering mountains that provide a thrilling backdrop. After a visit to the bustling Jemaa El Fna square, you will conclude your day with overnight at your hotel.

      In the morning, take a historical tour of the city, including the Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs.       Travel today between Marrakech and Aรฏt Ben Haddou in a private vehicle with an English speaking driver. The route through Marrakech to Aรฏt Ben Haddou offers wonderful photo opportunities including views of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, where movies such as Gladiator and Jesus Of Nazareth were filmed, and the dramatic Tizi nโ€™Tichka mountain pass. Enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace, or relax at your hotel.

      After breakfast at your hotel, head towards the Anti-Atlas region to the carpet towns of Tazenakht and Taliouine, where saffron is harvested. Continue to Taroudant for the night.

      Enter the Anti-Atlas region known for its natural rock formations and visit Aรฏt Mansour Gorge and the Painted Rocks. Continue through a palm valley and have lunch in a local village house. After, take a hike through the Chapeau du Napoleon before continuing to Tafaroute for the evening.

  • Day 11 Day 12: Tafraouet - Essaouira

      You will begin your day by travelling to Essaouira (Mogador), a picturesque city with a rich history. With fascinating antiquity, Essaouira was occupied by the Phoenicians and Carthaginians, supplied essential purple dyes to the Romans, absorbed the sophisticated Jewish arts of silversmith, and spent centuries as a Portuguese enclave. Despite the obvious influence of these civilizations, Essaouira has managed to remain a small, authentic Berber town. Alive with the breath of fresh air provided by the Atlantic, Essaouira is a jewel nestled in the rugged coast, with a vast expanse of empty sands trailing back along the promontory towards the South. After an introductory tour, you will conclude your day with accommodations in your hotel.

      Enjoy a day at leisure in this coastal city. Watch the colourful and lively spectacle of the return of the boats to the port with their baskets full of fish. Pick out the best of the bunch, which weโ€™ll take to a local restaurant to cook up for our lunch. Opt to browse the shops and art galleries or take a stroll along the long, sandy beach. The active might choose to take a surfing or windsurfing lesson, or rent a fishing rod.

      After breakfast at your hotel, head to Marrakesh.

      In the afternoon, have free time to further explore the fascinating city of Marrakech and dive into the labyrinthine souks. Visitors and locals alike find everything they desire here, whether itโ€™s spices, traditional jellabas and slippers, or famous Moroccan lanterns. The selection is exhaustive. Donโ€™t forget to bargain. Itโ€™s definitely part of the fun. Once youโ€™ve tired yourself out, relax at one of the tea houses around the square, indulge in the ubiquitous sweet mint tea and watch life go by from a shady spot.
