  • Day 1 Arrival In Bucharest

      Arrival in Otopeni Airport Bucharest (OTP).

      After taking your luggage you will be transferred to Brasov by DirectAeroport

      In Brasov you will meet the English-speaking assistant and he will transfer you to Bran (near Brasov), where you will be accommodated for 2 nights. He will give you also the rental bikes and explain the details of your program. 


  • Day 2 Bran Castle And Rasnov Citadel - Cycling 45 Km Approx. 50 M Altitude

      Not far away from your hotel is the well-known Dracula Castle, that you can visit in the morning. 

      From here you can cycle to the Rasnov Citadel - a "must see".

      Optional: you can cycle to Poiana Brasov at 1020 m, you will have a very beautiful view over Tara Barsei. 

      In the afternoon you will cycling back to Bran.

      Your road for today will be along the Carpathian Mountains. Your first stop today will be in Zarnesti. 

      Zarnesti is very well known for the bear observation platforms. From here you can cycle from Poiana Marului to Sercaia. From Sercaia you will be transferred by bus to the shepherdโ€™s village Rasinari. 

      Check-in for the next three nights in a friendly family pension. 

      Optional: Transfer by car on Transfagarasan Road to 2030 meters altitude; you can ride your bikes "downhill" up to 500 meters of altitude, in 30 km. (EUR 35.00 / person)

      On a guided tour you will see and be explained the most important sights of Sibiu. Next you will drive to the ASTRA open-air museum, also worth seeing as it is the largest open-air museum of S-E Europe. On an area of 92 hectares, exhibits from various dwellings from all regions of Romania are presented. In the late afternoon you will return to Rasinari.

      After breakfast, you will cycle to Sibiel, a village very well known for the Museum of Icons on Glass. Opportunity to enjoy a traditional Romanian lunch at a friendly local family in Sibiel. Return to Rasinari.

      Today the road will lead you to several fortified churches. Hosman is your first stop followed by Altana. On the way you will often see horse-drawn carts, with beers on their way to work in the fields, since agriculture is the main occupation here. The cycle path leads to Biertan via Barghis and Pelisor.

      One of the most important fortified churches in this region is in Biertan. Has been a bishopric for more than 300 years. In addition, this is the place where the annual Saxon meeting takes place. Check-in for the next 3 nights.

      Short bike tour from Biertan to Richis. From here the bike stage continues to Mosna to the fortified church with the Bacon Tower. Then you cycle to Medias, another city of the Transylvanian Saxons. From Medias back to Biertan.

      Todayโ€™s road will lead you to Copsa Mare and after to Dumbraveni, which has been the Armenian cultural center since the Middle Ages. We continue along the valley. In the afternoon back to Biertan.

      After breakfast you will be transferred to Sighisoara. The Middle-Aged center of this town is well preserved and is registered in UNESCO as a world heritage site. A City-Tour will expose the most important landmarks like the Clock Tower and the Church on the Hill. In the afternoon we leave Sighisoara and continue to Brasov. When you arrive in Brasov, you will have also a city tour in order to see the most important sights of the city such as the Black Church and others visit.

      Overnight stay with breakfast for one night in Brasov.

      Today we go back to Valahia. On the way to Bucharest, we make a short stop in Sinaia, where we will visit the unique Peles Castle. The castle was built between 1873 and 1883 for King Carol I of Romania.

      In Bucharest you will have the city tour. The most important sights of the little Paris of the East will be seen like, the Parliament Building (second largest building in the world) with interior visits, Unirii Square, Church of the Annunciation, Victoriei Street and Revolution Square.

      In the afternoon free time, where you can enjoy the city in one of the โ€œlittle Paris coffeesโ€.

      Overnight stay with breakfast for one night in the center of Bucharest.
