Every person attending our tours will receive a souvenir kit which combines authentic Romanian objects so that you can take a piece of it with you! We do have the latest technology when it comes to photos and videos so we will take your photos for you, provide you with a printed version of the best ones. All of it will be sent to you at the end of your tour in whichever format you prefer. Transfer to and from the airport.

Breakfast is included for every day of the tour. We also offer snacks, energy-bars and water during traveling and all of the tasting experiences (local drinks, wine-tasting, food-tasting) included in your tour. We can discuss prior to your arrival in case you have dietary restrictions and make arrangements accordingly. As locals, we have the best recommendations when it comes to restaurants, so donโ€™t worry, you are in good hands!

  • Day 1 Day 1: Bucharest And Macin Mountains

      Day 1: Bucharest And Macin Mountains

      Depart from Bucharest as we set-off for Macin Mountains, the oldest ones in the country and a sanctuary of biodiversity representing half of the Romanian flora in only 0.05% of its surface. It is here that we find impressive habitats, unique in the world, like the Dobrogean beech forest. There are 181 species of birds, out of which 37 are strictly protected, such as the black vulture, black woodpecker, the European roller. After we arrive and have lunch we will go on a easy-paced hike through the forest, as this is the best way to notice them, towards one of the peaks of the mountains, Tutuiatu, known also for its magnificent sunset view-point. Our home for the night is a charming countryside cottage, known as Valea Fagilor. 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Explore The Danube Delta On A Boat

      Day 2: Explore The Danube Delta On A Boat

      Rise and shine as we get ready for a full-day on an uncovered boat โ€“ a small craft specifically designed for this environment, exploring the birdwatcherโ€™s paradise that is the Delta. We depart from Tulcea at 8AM with our local guide. The routes include a large number of places with concentrations of birds, such as marshlands, salty sand islands, forest areas, lakes and special areas with places for feeding or roosting. Our first stop is Mila 23, an isolated fishermen village, for a traditional local lunch. We continue towards Letea forest, the northernmost subtropical forest in Europe and the oldest natural reservation in Romania, part of the World Heritage Site where we hope to see wild horses. On our way back, we take a different route, on other vegetation-filled canals, floating reed islands and lakes, slow-travelling to observe as much as possible. 

  • Day 3 Day 3: Sacalin Island And Back To Bucharest

      Day 3: Sacalin Island And Back To Bucharest

      After breakfast we take a short boat ride and discover Tuzla wreck, located on Sacalin Island, today an outpost for cormorants. It is considered the newest strip of ground in the country and it is a breeding area for many species of migratory birds, especially pelicans. After lunch we go back to Bucharest and transfer you to airport or hotel.
