  • Day 1 Bucharest
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Bucharest

      Pick up from your hotel, meet your English speaking driver and start the sightseeing city tour, including a stop to the Botanical Garden (the place used for Nevermoreโ€™s greenhouses), see Politehnica University of Bucharest (the setting of Nancy Reagan high school), see Casa Niculescu- Dorobantu (a castle-like home, built in the French neo-gothic style), see Casa Monteoru (the setting of the prom). Admire some of the most important landmarks of the Romanian capital: the Arch of Triumph, the Revolution Square, see the Palace of Parliament (the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon- the entrance is subject to confirmation and should be announced at least 2 days before). In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour in the old city centre (Lipscani district) where it used to be the old princely court of Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula (please note the princely court is still under restauration works).

  • Day 2 Bucharest- Balteni- Sinaia- Busteni- Sighisoara. 320 Km

      Breakfast at hotel. Road to Transylvania via Sinaia and Busteni. On the way, stop in the village of Balteni, Dambovita county, to see Olga Greceanu Mansion (the setting of Garret Gatesโ€™s house in the movie). Arrival in Sinaia, one of the most famous mountain resorts in Romania, also called the โ€œpearl of the Carpathiansโ€. We will stop by the Royal train station, Sinaia (setting for Burlington train station) and continue to Busteni, to see the stunning Cantacuzino Palace (the entrance ticket is not included), built in 1911, the setting of Nevermore Academy. The castle fits perfectly with the theme of the story, which has been showcased as a neo-gothic architectural place. The castle serves as the exterior location of the school and reports state that the design of the castleโ€™s roof was altered digitally to fit the story. In the afternoon, transfer to Sighisoara, located in the heart of Transylvania. This is the hometown of Vlad the Impaler (his birthplace is nowadays a medieval themed restaurant- Casa Vlad Dracul) and is considered to be one of the most beautiful medieval citadels in Europe.

  • Day 3 Sighisoara- Bran- Brasov. 190 Km

      Breakfast at hotel. Sightseeing tour of the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, founded by the German Saxon settlers in the 12th century, located high up on a hill at 425m above sea level. See the Clock Tower Museum, the Medieval Weapons Museum and the Torture Room (the entrance ticket is not included), climb the stairs to see the Church on the Hill and enjoy the narrow streets of the city. Continue your journey to Bran where we stop to see the famous Bran Castle (the entrance ticket is not included). Surrounded by an aura of mystery & legend and perched high atop a rock, the castle owes its fame to its imposing towers and turrets as well as to the myth created around Bram Stockerโ€™s Dracula. The fortress built in the 14th century, worldwide known as Draculaโ€™s Castle, due to the American movie directors, Bran served as royal residence of Queen Mary from 1920 to 1948 and nowadays itโ€™s one of the most visited museum in Romania. In the afternoon, road to Brasov, another famous fortified town founded by the Saxons in the medieval era. Stroll around the old Town Hall Square (Piata Sfatului) where you can admire colourfully painted and ornately trimmed baroque structures. See the Black Church (the entrance ticket is not included), the largest gothic church in Romania. The interior is impressive and well-kept and houses one of the largest organs in Eastern Europe.   • Day 4 Brasov- Targoviste- Snagov- Bucharest. 260 Km

      Brasov- Targoviste- Snagov- Bucharest. 260 Km

      Breakfast at hotel. Road back to Bucharest. Stop on the way in Targoviste, the capital of Wallachia (the southern region of Romania), before Bucharest achieved this status. See the Princely Court and Chindia Tower (15th century)- the entrance is not included- a 27 meters high tower, built by Vlad the Impaler to fortify the court against enemy attacks. The tower host an exhibition focused on the life and reign of Vlad the Impaler. Continue to Bucharest and stop in the village of Snagov, to see the monastery (the entrance is not included) dating from 1408, famous due to the legend of Dracula; it is supposed to be the place where Vlad the Impalerโ€™s head is buried. Arrival in Bucharest and drop off at hotel. 

  • Day 5 Bucharest- Departure
