Arrival at Bucharest airport. Meet your English speaking guide and transfer to your hotel. On the way, sightseeing tour, including the most interesting sites in Bucharest, like The Parliament’s Palace, also known as The People’s House, the second largest building in the world, after Penthagon, The Revolution Square, The Opera Square, Victoria Ave and the Triumphal Arch. Dinner in a local restaurant in the heart of the city center. Overnight in Bucharest.
Day 2 Day 2: Bucharest – Sinaia (Peles Castle) – Bran (Dracula’S Castle) – Brasov

Day 2: Bucharest – Sinaia (Peles Castle) – Bran (Dracula’S Castle) – Brasov

Transfer to Sinaia, following the scenic Prahova Valley. Arrival in Sinaia, called “Pearl of the Carpathians” due to the beauty of its natural setting and the elegance of its architecture – visit the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the Romanian Royal family and emblematic of the Romanian royalty. Find out why Sinaia bears the name of the holy mount Sinai, find out the legends that cover this area by visiting Sinaia Monastery. Drive on to Bran to visit the famous medieval castle built as a fortress - The "Dracula’s" Castle – for the citizens of Brasov with view to defence the city. Prince Vlad used the Castle as a general headquarters during his incursions in Transylvania . For many years, it has been an interesting medieval art museum. Surrounded by an aura of mystery and legend and perched high atop a 200-foot-high rock, Bran Castle owes its fame to its imposing towers and turrets as well as to the myth created around Bram Stocker’s Dracula. Built on the site of a Teutonic Knights stronghold dating from 1212, the castle was first documented in an act issued by Louis I of Hungary on November 19, 1377, giving the Saxons of Kronstadt (Brasov) the privilege to build the Citadel. Drive to Brasov. Fringed by the peaks of the Southern Carpathian Mountains and resplendent with gothic, baroque and renaissance architecture, as well as a wealth of historical attractions, Brasov is one of the most visited places in Romania. Founded by the Teutonic Knights in 1211 on an ancient Dacian site and settled by the Saxons as one of the seven walled citadels, Brasov exudes a distinct medieval ambiance and has been used as backdrop in many recent period films. In this city, we are surrounded by legends of the vampires and a medieval stories. Walking tour through the old town centre, including the Black Church, the Council Square, the Hirche House, the baroque style buildings from the Austro-Hungarian times. Overnight in Brasov.
Day 3 Day 3: Brasov – Biertan – Sighisoara

Drive to Sighisoara. On the way you’ll take a detour to visit Biertan, a stunning fortified church built in the 15th century by the Saxons. Part of the UNESCO heritage since 1993, the fortified church of Biertan boasts, beside religious objects, an interesting matrimonial prison! Drive to Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval citadel in Europe (UNESCO heritage). Designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this perfectly intact 16th century gem with nine towers, cobbled streets, burgher houses and ornate churches rivals the historic streets of Old Prague or Vienna for atmospheric magic. It is also the birthplace of Vlad Dracula, also known as Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), ruler of the province of Walachia from 1456 to 1462. It was he who inspired Bram Stoker’s fictional creation, Count Dracula. His house is just one of the many attractions here. Others include the Church on the Hill with its 500-year-old frescoes, the Clock Tower with its weapons museum, the 13th century Venetian House and the Church of the Dominican Monastery, known for its Transylvanian renaissance carved altarpiece, baroque pulpit, Oriental carpets and 17th century organ. Day 4 Day 4: Sighisoara – Vatra Moldovitei – Sucevita – Suceava

Drive to Bucovina, the land of painted monasteries. Begin your day Moldovita Monastery where the UNESCO Golden Apple Award given to the painted churches in 1975, is kept. Later continue to the nearby Sucevita Monastery, which is the largest of all, looking more like a mighty fortress than a monastery. The Ladder of John of Sinai is considered one of the best of the frescoes of Sucevita, rarely present in medieval Romanian art. In the village of Marginea visit the black pottery workshop - they use a technique called "oxygen reduction", there is the same technique in Mexico only! Overnight in Suceava.
Day 5 Day 5: Suceava – Voronet – Iasi

Day 5: Suceava – Voronet – Iasi

Visit to Voronet monastery, the most famous out of all monasteries in Bucovina, known rhapsody as the Sistine Chapel of the East and featuring one the best Last Judgment fresco in this part of the World. Visit the Museum of Painted Eggs in Vama. Of all the Romanian customs the one of painting eggs for Easter is by far the smoothest and the warmest. Nowhere else but in Bucovina the egg is looked upon with so much love and the tradition of painting is raised at an artistic level. The oldest and most suggestive painted eggs, carrying old symbols – pre Christian ones - are taken from the areas inhabited by those people called "hutuli" this tradition is at home here in Moldovita - Bucovina, a place where these people came a long time ago. Arrival in Iasi. Sightseeing tour: Iasi is the most important political, economic and cultural centre of the province of Moldavia as well as one of the oldest cities in Romania. The Church of the Three Hierarchs (constructed 1637 - 1639) is highlighted as a must-see in every guidebook. Nothing can prepare you, though, for its stunning ornate decoration: the entire exterior of the church is covered in delicate and intricate patterns sculpted into the stone and spread over 30 friezes. This "stone embroidery" is a mixture of western gothic, Renaissance and Oriental motifs. Overnight in Iasi.
Day 6 Day 6: Iasi – Chisinau

Today you will discover the neighboring country Moldavia, which was once upon a time part of Romania. After a short drive you arrive in Chisinau, the capital city of Moldavia. The panoramic tour includes the National Palace, the Arch of Triumph and the Palace of the Parliament. Time at leisure in the Old Town. Overnight in Chisinau.
Day 7 Day 7: Chisinau – Cricova – Tipova – Orhei - Chisinau

Departure to the Cricova winery, the largest winery in the world. Cricova labyrinths (protected by the UNESCO), include about 60 kilometers of underground tunnels. In the labyrinths can be kept more than 30 million liters of wine at the same time. Wine tasting in the Cricova cellars. Drive to Tipova Cave Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Moldova. It was carved in stone on the bank of the Nistru River and it is believed that the oldest of its cells dates back to the 11th century. Departure to Orhei. The ancient city Old Orhei - a natural and historical complex in the open air. It combines the natural landscape and vestiges of ancient civilizations. Old Orhei were found traces of different civilizations: Geto-Dacian fortress (6th-1st centuries BC); Fort Golden Horde Shehri al-Jedid or Yangi-Shehri (second half of 14th century); Orthodox monasteries (14th century), and the Moldavian town Vechi (15th-17th centuries). Return to Chisinau. Overnight in Chisinau.
Day 8 Day 8: Chisinau – Milestii Mici – Iasi

Day 8: Chisinau – Milestii Mici – Iasi

In the morning you will leave from Chisinau and head to Milestii Mici, the largest underground wine cellar in the world (included). Its tunnels spread over an area of more than 200 kilometers, 55 of which are used for wine storage. Before heading to Iasi, you will make one final stop at Capriana Monastery, one of the oldest and most beautiful monuments in Moldova. Overnight in Iasi.
