  • Day 1 Day 1: Bucharest โ€“ Tulcea (Danube Delta Tour) โ€“ Constanta

      Day 1: Bucharest โ€“ Tulcea (Danube Delta Tour) โ€“ Constanta

      Meet your guide and drive to Tulcea, the town from "the eastern end of the country" also known as the town from the gates of the Danube Delta. From Tulcea we will embark to boat and will explore the wetlands of Danube Delta. Danube Delta watery labyrinth has acted as sanctuary for a tremendous array of wildlife. More than 300 species of birds make Danubeโ€™s Delta their home, including white tailed eagles, cormorants, Egyptian white pelicans and glossy ibises. After this wonderful short tour of Danube Delta we continue our drive for one more hours towards Constanta. Reaching Constanta in the afternoon, we take a gentle walk with your local guide who will reveal Constanta past and present. Constanta City is the most important harbour at the Black Sea. This settlement was founded by the Greeks around 6th century BC. During our sightseeing tour of Constanta we will admire some of the most important tourist attractions of this Black Sea Harbour. We will not miss the famous Casino building, The Genovese lighthouse, the Orthodox Cathedral or the Carol I Mosque. Ovid Square, where the statue of the Roman poet stands, is one of Constanta main attractions and this pedestrian area is full with restaurants and terraces. Overnight in Constanta.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Constanta- Kaliakra Cliffs โ€“ Balchik Castle โ€“ Varna

      Today, we travel towards Bulgaria. Drive to Balchick and visit the Queenโ€™s Mary Botanical garden, the 2nd largest collection of Cacti in Europe after Monaco.  Stop at Kaliakra Cliffs (fine rose in Greek). Kaliakra is a rocky ridge that extends 2 km into the sea. This is a spectacular wall of sandstone that reaches to almost 70 meters above the Black Sea. One of the legends said that the reddish color of the limestone cliffs is the blood of the soldiers died in battles for control this strategic point. Following the coastal route we reach Varna. In the evening we can take a relaxing walk in Varna. Overnight in Varna.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Varna - Nessebar- Sozopol

      Day 3: Varna - Nessebar- Sozopol

      After breakfast, walking tour in the old town of Varna, visiting one of Varna Cathedral and Churches, The Sea Gardens. Optional, we can visit Euxinograd Palace located outside Varna, This chateau-like palace was commissioned by Prince Aleksandur Batenberg in 19th century. The palace itself was designed by a Viennese architect and the gardens were designed by a French landscape designer.We continue our tour on the Black Sea seaside by stopping in Nessebar (UNESCO). Walking tour in the old town of Nessebar and visit St. Stephen Cathedral. In the afternoon, we reach Sozopol, one of the oldest towns on Bulgarian Thraceโ€™s Black Sea coast. The first settlement on the site dates back to the Bronze Age. Undersea explorations in the region of the port reveal relics of dwellings, ceramic pottery, stone and bone tools from that era. Enjoy a walking tour and discover this unique location. Overnight in Sozopol.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Sozopol โ€“ Bachkovo โ€“ Plovdiv

      Drive to Plovdiv. On the way,  we will make an interesting stop to one of the famous churches of Bulgaria, Bachkovo Monastery. At the foothills of Rhodope Mountains lies this unique monastery, founded in 11th century by two commanders of Byzantine army. We will admire here the dramatic frescoes of the Last Judgement Scene, or the vaulted ceiling frescoes made by the pupils of the famous Bulgarian Icon and church painter Zahari Zograf. Arrival in Plovdiv, Bulgarian 2nd largest city, once capital city of Philip the 2nd of Macedonia. The eternal city, as Rome is conventionally called, is much younger than Plovdiv. UNESCO awarded Plovdiv a gold medal for its architecture and is was awarded European city of culture in 1999 and 2019. Tour of the Old Plovdiv, including visit to Ancient Amphitheatre and St. Constantine and Helena Church. Walk along the longest pedestrian street in the world to see the remains of the Roman Stadium, Roman Forum and Djumaya Mosque. Overnight in Plovdiv.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Plovdiv โ€“ Rila โ€“ Sofia

      Day 5: Plovdiv โ€“ Rila โ€“ Sofia

      Drive to Rila to discover the largest and most impressive Bulgarian monastery (UNESCO โ€“ 11th century). Tour of the monastery complex, church and museum with its lavish collection of precious old manuscripts, icons, jewels, masterpieces of woodcarving, ethnographic exhibition of fabrics and carpets.

      After lunch, drive to Sofia, the Bulgarian capital, a city with 7000 years long history, concentrating numerous cultural and historical monuments from different periods. Sightseeing tour in Sofia, visiting Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, one of the most spectacular buildings in Bulgaria. We continue our tour and we visit St. Sofia church, dating back from 6th century. During our tour, we will discover other interesting sites such as: Party House, the ruins of the ancient city Serdica, St. George Rotunda (4th century), National Theatre etc. Overnight in Sofia.


  • Day 6 Day 6: Departure

      Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to Sofia airport. After a fantastic time spent in Eastern Europe itโ€™s time to bid farewell to your guide and to friends youโ€™ve made in our beautiful part of the world. We are looking forward welcoming you back.
