We drive to the small coastal town of Trevone Bay: blessed with a wonderful beach, the coastal town hugs the hilly surrounding countryside. This is where our hike starts, which takes us around the cape: a first impression of Coast Path is created. At low tide, we can even take part of the hike along the beach. We reach Padstow at the mouth of the River Camel. A picturesque marina with small boats and weathered stone houses.

However, Dodmanโ€™s Point is commonly translated as Deadmanโ€™s Point. Where this name comes from, we will learn today when we reach the stone cross of Martinโ€™s Cross.
