      After breakfast, you will head to the charming upper town of Dinan, which boasts well-preserved oriel houses and a great view of the Rance River. Then drive along the breathtaking coast to the oyster port of Cancale. Watch the hustle and bustle among the oyster beds from the "open-air grandstand" before experiencing for yourself the flavorful quality of the seafood. These can be enjoyed wonderfully in combination with white wine and a beautiful view. In the afternoon, the pretty corsair town of Saint-Malo awaits you. In addition to the former old town, the view of the Atlantic and the Rance estuary, which you can admire on a walk along the world-famous fortification wall, is very convincing. (F)

      Today, discover the impressive customs trail of Ploumanach. Equipped with comfortable shoes, you will walk along the pink granite coast, which has always been able to impress people with its rock formations that seem almost alive. Enjoy the view over the vastness of the sea and admire the many, picturesque lighthouses that line the Breton coastal path (easy, 10 km, walking time: approx. 3.5 hours, +/-119 meters altitude gain). Let the day end peacefully - in the romantic park landscape of the gardens of Kerdalo, which are a particularly beautiful sight of Brittany and have even been included in the list of "jardins remarquables".       Day 4: Finistรจre

      The rugged Dรฉpartement Finistรจre, where the Romans already suspected the end of the world, is your exciting destination today. Heading towards Morlaix, you will make your way to the Calvary of Saint-Thรฉgonnec. This is considered one of the most beautiful enclosed parishes in the country and can impress with ornate ornaments and a two-story ossuary. Then discover the famous pilgrimage site of Locronan, named one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France, with its historic buildings largely preserved. For lunch, your guide will take you to a place with a beautiful view where she will prepare a typical French picnic. After lunch, you will continue to Quimper, the capital of Finistรจre and the home of the detective Dupin, who became famous through the famous Brittany crime novels.       Today is dedicated to Post-Impressionism and starts with a trip to the "Ville Close" in Concarneau. The closed town can be reached on foot via a bridge and is located in the middle of the largest fishing port in France. During the visit, you will have your first encounter with the "School of Concarneau"; a view over the beautiful fishing port will give you an idea of where the artists drew their inspiration from. Afterwards your way leads you to the place of the painters, with the melodious name Pont-Aven, which was a popular meeting place of the impressionists in the 19th century. Even Paul Gauguin found inspiration for some of his works here. Perhaps you will recognize one or the other familiar motif on the tour? (F)

  • Day 6 Day 6: Crozon Peninsula

      Day 6: Crozon Peninsula

      Today begins with a hike along the Crozon Peninsula. Be captivated by the rugged nature of the Parc Naturel Rรฉgional dArmorique and breathe in the fresh sea air (easy, 7 km, approx. 2.5 hrs, +/-120 hm). Then set off for the picturesque town of Camaret-sur-Mer, located in the middle of the national park and known for its maritime charm. Another highlight is the port of Guilvinec. When the fishermen return home after a hard dayโ€™s work, the more than 100 fishing boats bustling about offer a breathtaking sight. Watch the unloading of the fresh catch and then visit the townโ€™s large fish market. Experience the fish auction and marvel at Brittanyโ€™s rich seafood selection. During a langoustine tasting, you can get a taste of the local crustaceans for yourself. Your journey then continues to the village of Sainte-Marine, home to one of the last "abri du marin". These houses were places of refuge for sailors and fishermen who had to retreat to the countryside to escape bad weather, where they found a temporary place to stay as well as shelter and companionship.       Embark on a tour (approx. 1 hr.) of the menhir fields of Carnac and learn more about the history of these massive rock formations. Immerse yourself in the world of sagas and legends: The magical forest of Brocรฉliande invites you to dream with its majestic trees and is closely linked to the legend of King Arthur. The tomb of the mythical wizard Merlin is said to be found here. Let yourself be fascinated by the stories of knights, giants and wizards during a ride under the dense treetops. Then, during a visit to Josselin Castle, you will learn more about the castle and its influential inhabitants, famous personalities of Brittany. In the evening, youโ€™ll review what youโ€™ve experienced together over a final dinner with the group. 1 night in Guer. (B/A)
