      Bordeaux & St Emilion Tour

      This morning you will join an interesting tour of the city. On this tour, youโ€™ll visit a unique cheese shop in central Bordeaux, which boasts an underground vaulted cellar containing some 100 cheese varieties. Your host will introduce you to the world of French cheeses, which counts over 400 varieties classified into 7 categories. Then youโ€™ll taste 9 AOC cheeses of varying maturity paired with specific types of bread and three delicious Bordeaux wines.

      In the afternoon, join a small group to discover the wines & village of Saint ร‰milion. Depart from central Bordeaux and pass through the picturesque French countryside as you head east towards Saint-Emilion, the prestigious wine region on the right bank of the Garonne river specialised in complex red wines made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc grape varieties. Your first stop is a Grand Cru Chateau where youโ€™ll be introduced to the history of local winemaking, which goes back as far as the ancient Romans. Youโ€™ll get a tour of the vineyards that UNESCO included in its list and then taste a selection of fine Bordeaux wines. The excursion continues with a walking tour of the medieval village, where you will learn about the legendary monk who founded it and the labyrinth of underground caves created to extract the limestone used for the villageโ€™s construction. At the end of the tour, youโ€™ll have some free time to explore on your own before returning to Bordeaux. Overnight in Bordeaux.

  • Day 3 Medoc Land Of Wines

      Medoc Land Of Wines

      From central Bordeaux, head northwest to the marvelous Mรฉdoc wine region located between the Atlantic coastline and the Gironde estuary. As you drive along the Route des Chateaux, lined with lush vineyards and impressive estates, youโ€™ll arrive at the first stop on the tour, a prestigious Classified Growth Chateau. Here youโ€™ll get a tour of the production facilities, learn about the local grape varieties, and sample some of their delicious wines. Next, youโ€™ll drive further into the French countryside to the charming village of Pauillac, where youโ€™ll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, youโ€™ll take the road back to Bordeaux, stopping at two other wineries for further insights into local winemaking techniques and more tasting sessions.
