      Our Gay Exclusive Luxury Matera and Puglia Tour starts from Bari Airport, which has many connections to Europe and beyond. We will greet you and make our way to your accommodation, in the 5* Resort Borgo Egnazia.

      Welcome Dinner at Due Camini  Restaurant, within the Borgo Egnazia Estate: you will enjoy a first taste of Puglia cuisine in a luxurious environment.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Monopoli

      Day 2: Monopoli

      After a fresh breakfast and a dip in the pool (if you fancy) a private transfer will drive you to the charming town of Monopoli (about 30 minutes drive away).

      You will meet your private English tour guide and embark on a walking tour of the historical center. This beautiful port town has all the seaside charm Puglia has to offer. Key sights include St. Francesco Church, the Castle of Charles V, the Cathedral of Maria Santissima della Madia and the port.

      After lunch on your own a private transfer will bring you back to Borgo Egnazia. Here you can relax, go to the beach or rest before having dinner on your own.

      Breakfast in hotel followed by free time for the beach or to relax and have lunch on your own.

      A private transfer in the afternoon will drive to Polignano a Mare (about 40 minutes away). You will meet your private English speaking tour guide and embark on a walking tour of this picture perfect seaside town perched above the cliffs overlooking the blue Adriatic Ocean. This Town is full of surprises: it also hosts the Red Bull diving event. Discover the boutique shops within its small alleyways.

      You will enjoy Dinner at the famous Grotta Palazzese (set menu, wine included).

      After dinner, a Private transfer will drive you back to Borgo Egnazia.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Cooking Class & Alberobello

      Day 4: Cooking Class & Alberobello

      Breakfast in hotel and private transfer to the 5 Star Masseria Torrecoccaro (about 50 min) for a Cooking Class Puglia style. Here you will learn to make typical food from Puglia such as Orecchiette (fresh pasta with a ear-shape) and bread. Afterwards you will eat all that has been cooked by your own hands: lunch with wine is included.

      In the afrernoon, a private transfer will drive our private group to the Masseria (about 30 min away) where you  will check in into a restored farmstead, exclusive accommodation for the next few nights.

      The rest of the afternoon and evening will be free to let you explore the area and dinner on your own pace.

      Day 5: Tour Of The Itrian Valley

      Breakfast in the hotel and private transfer to Martina Franca. Here you will meet your guide for a tour of the Itrian Valley that will let you discover the magical surroundings of the area. Start from Martina Franca, one of the Pugliaโ€™s most elegant cities, with its baroque and rococo buildings. You will discover its old winding streets before heading into the countryside. Pass rolling hills dotted with trulli and farmsteads eventually stopping to have lunch in a typical Masseria. Taste some typical regional food; such as Capocollo, Burrata, Cacioricotta and Bombette.

      Private transfer back to the hotel.

      Breakfast in hotel and private transfer to Ostuni (about 30 minutes drive away). Meet your private guide for a walking tour of Ostuni, known as โ€˜The White cityโ€™. Visit the cathedral, the most important monument of the city, the main square with the Town hall and the famous St. Oronzo steeple. Have a stroll through the alleys of the Old Town and pay a visit to their many little shops; take in the spectacular 180 degree view of the ocean and the thousands of ancient Roman Olive trees that sweep across this area. Next, enjoy a typical lunch in one of the restaurants that populate Ostuni. In the afternoon, a private transfer will drive you back to the Masseria for free time to relax and enjoy dinner on your own.

      After breakfast, itโ€™s time to pack. The Gay Luxury Matera and Puglia Tour with a private transfer will drive you right into Matera (60 minutes away), 2019 European Capital of Culture.  Check in at Sextantio Le Grotte della civiltร .

      Today will be a free day for you to relax, go shopping, discover Matera by yourself or catch up on some me time!

      Breakfast in hotel. Soon after,  meet your local guide for a walking tour through the characteristic districts of the Sassi. You will start with an historical introduction, analyzing the different stages of the urban development of Matera. The itinerary is punctuated by numerous stops: you will visit key points of interest including rock churches, cave houses, water collection systems and cellars dug in caves.

      Lunch is on us: our group will enjoy a lunch with cheeses and meats, typical of the region, wine included.

      The rest of the evening will be free for you to explore the area at your own pace.

      Day 9: Medieval Villages Of Basilicata

      After breakfast our Luxury Matera group will  visit some of the most spectacular and off the beaten path villages in the South of Italy. Among these, Pietrapertosa and Castelmezzano, two mountaintop villages ringed by the Lucanian Dolomite. Castelmezzano is surely one of Italyโ€™s most theatrical villages: the houses huddle along an impossibly narrow ledge that falls away in gorges to the river. Pietrapertosa is even more amazing and the Saracen fortress at its pinnacle is carved out of the mountain. Return to the hotel in Matera in the afternoon, in time to get ready for the Farewell Dinner!
