A driver and an English Speaking Guide will welcome you at the international airport and transfer to hotel.

You will spend your night at Pavillon de l’Emyrne [Cell phone network, Wifi]
Day 2 Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe (146 Kms: 4 Hours Drive)

Day 2: Antananarivo – Andasibe (146 Kms: 4 Hours Drive)

Pick up from your hotel in the morning and we drive east to Andasibe for about 4 hours drive.

Along the way, you will visit Peryerias Reptile Reserve, a feeding center of endangered species (approx 3 hours) to see up close captive Panther, stump-tail, Parsons and Brookesia chameleons, golden Mantella frogs, tomato frogs, numerous species of leaf-tailed geckos and tenrecs. The curators of the reserve usually take the animals out of their enclosures to allow close photographs.

In the afternoon, you will visit VOI Park which hosts 3 lemurs species, including the Indri.

At night, you will do a night walk to spot nocturnal animals like chameleons, mouse lemurs, …

Day 3 Day 3: Maromizaha And Vohimana Reserve

Day 3: Maromizaha And Vohimana Reserve

After breakfast, the morning, you will visit Maromizaha reserve (6 hours walk, medium difficulty, up and down on mountains), located 12 km from Andasibe. You will walk on trails to see many wild lemurs including diademed sifakas, the famous Indri (the biggest lemur of all), as well as orchids and birds. Sightings are usually close up with the animals just a few metres above us in the trees.

The afternoon, you will visit another reserve, called Vohimana, for spotting a local endemic chameleon in this area. Only in this reserve in the whole world.

After that, drive back to the hotel.

Day 4 Day 4: Andasibe – Antananarivo (146 Kms: 4 Hours’ Drive)

Drive back to Tana.

Before we leave, you will visit the “lemur island” or Vakona private reserve (a small island in a river and lake system), where habituated common brown lemurs, grey bamboo lemurs and black-and-white ruffed lemurs live. The rangers feed these species along the track allowing close encounters and excellent photograph opportunities.
