  • Day 1 Day 1: Anchorage

      Day 1: Anchorage

      Arrive at Anchorage and check into hotel. Tour historic downtown Anchorage on a scenic 15-mile trolley car ride. This fully narrated trip visits cultural historical sites including Lake Hood, scenic viewpoints, and Earthquake Park. Group dinner to celebrate the start of our Alaskan adventure (included). 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Anchorage To Homer

      Day 2: Anchorage To Homer

      Drive along the Turnagain Arm in Cook Inlet, home to one of the largest bore tides in the world, looking for Beluga Whales. We will visit the Wildlife Conservation Center. The centerโ€™s mission is to provide refuge for orphaned, injured, and ill animals. This is one of the most scenic drives in Alaska! Many stops for scenic viewing and points of interest. Total drive time 4.5 hrs.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Homer/Katmai

      Day 3: Homer/Katmai

      Fly from Homer to Katmai National Park or Lake Clark (based on weather) to see Grizzly Bears. We will catch a glimpse of the bears as we hike about 4-5 miles over 3 hours through braided rivers and meadows to see them in their natural habitat. In the late afternoon we will visit the Alaska Islands and Oceans Visitor Center.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Homer/Kachemak Bay

      Day 4: Homer/Kachemak Bay

      With a 30-minute boat cruise to Kachemak Bay State Park, accessible only by boat, we will hike with a local naturalist through 3 distinct ecosystems: the marine environment, coastal forest, and glacial moraine. In the glacier valley we will have views of an immense glacier dropping into the lake. We continue our journey by kayak with sounds of moving ice filling the valley as we paddle our stable kayaks past icebergs of all sizes. This is a full 8-hour day (2.5-mile hike and 3 hours of kayaking).

  • Day 5 Day 5: Homer To Seward

      Day 5: Homer To Seward

      We will drive the scenic road to the picturesque city of Seward. We will visit the Alaska Sea Life Center for some fun with marine mammals to prepare us for our ocean adventure the next day. Many stops for scenic viewing and points of interest including a stop at Exit Glacier and the opportunity to hike the Harding Ice Field trail (4.5 mile round trip hike). Total drive time 4.5 hrs.


      (An optional activity today would be a helicopter flight up to a glacier and then dogsled rides on top of the glacier: Take off in one of our helicopters and find yourself landing at dog camp atop an ancient glacier. A team of sled dogs anxiously awaits to pull you across perfect white snow. Dog sled tours on Godwin Glacier are some of the most fun you can have in Alaska! After your sled ride, cuddle our lovable puppies, take pictures of the beautiful Alaskan scenery, and talk with your Alaskan musher about his best trail stories. We have all the gear and equipment youโ€™ll need for your Alaskan dog sledding experience; you just need to bring your camera. This is a 1.5-hour tour that includes 15 minutes of flight seeing and an unforgettable dog sled ride. $495.00 per person).

  • Day 6 Day 6: Seward/Kenai/Anchorage

      Day 6: Seward/Kenai/Anchorage

      This morning you are going out for a 9-hour nature cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park. You will be watching for puffins, sea otters, humpback whales, sea lions, and cormorants as we go to one of the least visited fjords for an up close and personal view of a tidewater glacier in Northwestern Fjord. These types of glaciers calve directly into the ocean. For those who may not have sea legs, you will enjoy a 3-hour cruise in the calm waters of the bay followed by a dog sled tour. or similar. In the evening you will enjoy dinner and a scenic train ride back to Anchorage on the Gold Star Dome Train.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Anchorage To Denali/Healy

      Day 7: Anchorage To Denali/Healy

      Today you make the drive to Denali National Park, the home of Mount McKinley. You will make frequent stops for sightseeing including a stop at Talkeetna for lunch and a Talkeetna river 2-hour float trip: โ€œFew places in the world can equal the scale and beauty of Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range. On this two hour narrated Talkeetna River Natural History Jet Boat Trip, you will see spectacular vistas of this magnificent scenery. Explore the lower end of the famous Talkeetna River, which is steeped in history and the Alaskan pioneering spirit. The Talkeetna river is a glacier-fed waterway teeming with salmon and other wildlife. Our guides are versed in describing the flora, fauna, and scenery along the way. We will look for bears, eagles, fish, beavers, moose, fox, and waterfowl during this float. We will stop to visit two active Bald Eaglesโ€™ nests, see beaver dams, look for bear tracks, and float past an old minerโ€™s cabinโ€ฆ all before joining the mighty Susitna River for the loop back to Talkeetna. Total drive time 6 hrs.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Denali
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 8: Denali

      We will go deep into Denali National Park the best way you canโ€ฆby bus. You have the option of taking a narrated bus tour or a bus tour where you can get on and off the bus to hike anywhere you want to. A picnic lunch will be served out in the park. We can be out and about between 7-10 hours.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Denali To Talkeetna
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 9: Denali To Talkeetna

      If weather permits we take a flight to see the tallest peak in North America. Two options here: land on a glacier and walk around or take a pressurized plane up to the peak for a view of the 20,322โ€™ summit from inside the plane. This should be one of the most magnificent days of your life! Lunch is included and will be hosted at Talkeetna Lodge. At the end of the day, we drive to a quaint town called Talkeetna to soak up the culture and some of their local food. On a clear day Talkeetna boasts one of the best views of Mount McKinley. Total drive time 3 hours.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Talkeetna To Anchorage

      Day 10: Talkeetna To Anchorage

      We depart Talkeetna and drive straight to Anchorage in the morning. You may schedule your departure flight for 2pm or later. Total drive time 2.5 hrs.
