Breakfast. Let’s begin the day with a big breakfast, then we will start off by visiting the well-known Orto Botanico of Palermo (Palermo Botanical Garden), a lush green area, approximately 10 hectares wide, born both as a botanical garden and a research and educational institution of the Department of Botany of the University of Palermo. Nowadays this evocative place houses at least 12,000 different species, which grow very well thanks to the favourable atmospheric conditions of this amazing town; the splendid greenhouses; the central neo-classical building, known as the Gymnasium, and much more besides.

Free lunch break: you can try one of our heartily recommend traditional bar or chioschi where eating one of our typical delights, such as, if you prefer savoury, the well known arancine a carne or a burro, or the legendary palermitans panelle e crocchè, otherwise, if you love the sweets, you must try our traditional gelato, the italian ice cream, with its wide selection of tastes. In the afternoon, you will have free time available for visiting the city centre of Palermo and go shopping through its picturesque narrow alleys. Overnight stay in Palermo.
Day 3 Day 3: Natural Park Madonie

Day 3: Natural Park Madonie

Breakfast and packed lunch. Meeting with the guide at the Madonie Park. From here we will begin to discover the most spectacular Giant Hollies in Europe: there are 317 specimens, 15 m high and 4 m in circumference! Our route will be slightly uphill and is characterized by the presence of numerous monumental oaks, with aromas of shrubs and flowers and the presence of mushrooms. At each bend you can admire a different but always fascinating panorama, rich in fauna species such as the golden eagle and the other birds of the forest. In the afternoon free visit to Castelbuono, a small village in a valley surrounded by a forest of oaks, chestnuts (which have nurtured a flourishing tradition in the use of wood), cherry and ash trees. Manna is a sugary substance emitted by ash trees following the incision of the trunk (the Madonie are the only place in the world where manna is still produced following this ancient tradition); this product is used to prepare the traditional sweets that we will taste in Castelbuono. Stroll through the historic city center to admire one of Castelbuono’s most famous attractions: the beautiful Ventimiglia Castle. Immediately after we will visit the Piazza, the main church, we also recommend a break with a tasty tasting of local products. Before returning to Palermo, if you have time, we recommend a stop at the famous Cefalù. Overnight in Palermo.
Day 4 Day 4: Erice, Marsala

Day 4: Erice, Marsala

Breakfast at the hotel. We move to Erice; During this shift we will recommend a stop, in a location where we will finally taste the famous “Sicilian cannoli”. After that, we will go directly to the picturesque town of Erice. You will immerse yourself in its magical medieval atmosphere, made much more realistic by visiting its marvelous churches and by the incomparable beauty of the castle of Venus, built in the 12th century, on the oldest archaeological site of the temple of Venus.

While we will enjoy this wonderful town, you will also have the opportunity to taste the unmissable Erice almond pastries and other delights of the cuisine or regional! free time available for shopping; this city is famous for the skills of its skilled craftsmen. late afternoon: transfer to Marsala, and overnight in Marsala

Day 5: Island Of Mothia, Marsala And Its Wine

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we recommend a visit to the island of Mothia, whose name is due to the ancient Phoenician-Punic city, whose remains are one of the main archaeological attractions of Sicily.

Climb aboard the ship to the island of Mothia, you will land after about 20 minutes and immediately have the opportunity to visit this open-air museum!

It is possible to visit the Whitaker museum, where the Phoenician-Punic collections are kept. Taking a look at the artifacts on display, you will appreciate their antiquated beauty and you will surely understand how significant they are as a testimony of the ancient Mediterranean lifestyle; then, you will enjoy the view of the Auriga di Mozia, an ancient marble statue, male, which with its strong and elegant appearance will surely conquer you!

Among the many points of archaeological interest we will also visit the house of mosaics, with its suggestive pebble mosaics, which simulate a scene of a fight between animals; the famous Cothon, the first rectangular artificial harbor; the imposing traces of the walls, which surrounded the city, despite its geographical position; the sanctuary of Cappiddazzu and, last but not least, the cemetery area of the city, the famous Thofet, with its very bad reputation. Return to Marsala where you can visit a famous winery and make one wine tasting. Overnight in Marsala.
Day 6 Day 6: Selinunte, Palermo

After having a nourish breakfast, we will reach the first stage of our daily tour, you will head towards the remarkable archaeological, ancient, greek city of Selinunte. You will arrive at the archaeological site of Selinunte, where you will walk around the ruins of the most impressive and captivating archaeological sites and the most westerly of the Greek colonies in Sicily. Late in the day, we will go to Palermo. Overnight stay in Palermo
Day 7 Day 7: Reserve Natural Bosco Ficuzza

Day 7: Reserve Natural Bosco Ficuzza

Breakfast and packed lunch. Today we recommend a day of full relaxation by visiting an enchanted oasis 40 km from Palermo, the Bosco della Ficuzza Nature Reserve, the ancient hunting estate of King Ferdinado of Bourbon, the largest green oasis in western Sicily together with his "Real" residence. Casina Borbonica "and some delightful villages of the Sicilian hinterland far from the traditional tourist routes.

On the way you will meet some villages that you can visit such as Marineo, Corleone, Piana degli Albanesi, where you can taste some cheeses and desserts (especially the famous Cannoli) among the best in Sicily. Overnight stay in Palermo.
