  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival And Drive To Awash National Park
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Arrival And Drive To Awash National Park

      Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, you will proceed driving to Awash National Park, visiting Afar people on the way. Then enjoy the splendid beauty of the Awash river waterfall. After a lunch break, game drive to Awash National Park for wildlife and bird watching. Most spotted animals in the park include Beisa Oryx, Soemmerringโ€™s gazelles, wild pig, Baboons, Bush Bucks, and velvet Monkey. The Furry waterbuck and the tiny Dik-Dik are among slightly visible animals. Over 400 species of birds are recorded, which ranges from the great ostrich, frequently and easily observed, to the less common Secretary Bird and Abyssinian Ground Hornbill.

      Overnight stay at Awash Falls Lodge, Awash National Park.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Doho Hot Springs

      Day 2: Doho Hot Springs

      In the early morning, Drive around the park for wildlife. Then proceed to Doho Lodge, the northern part of the park. Check in to the lodge and take a picnic lunch at the Lodge and make an activity to find different wild animals and different bird species in the compound of the Lodge and its surroundings and Hippos and other aquatic animals and birds on the lake. Then, back to Doho hot springs and spend the rest of the day at Doho lodge, overlooking the Doho Lake, and relax around the hot springs.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Voyage To Harar

      Day 3: Voyage To Harar

      After breakfast drive from Awash Sebat Kilo to Harar. We will be driving through the Hararghe Mountains and we will see plenty of coffee and โ€˜chatโ€™ fields. The region is well known in growing one of the best qualities of coffee in the country. Finally, we will arrive in Harar early in the afternoon. 

      Overnight stay at Heritage Plaza Hotel or similar, Harar.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Harar City Tour

      Day 4: Harar City Tour

      Stroll through the 16th-century walled city of Harar, the fourth most important city in the Islamic World.  See the home of Arthur Rimbaud, a renowned French poet who worked and lived in Harar as a "gun-runner" during the 19th century.  Visit the National and Harari museums; the house of Ras Mekonnen (father of Haile Selassie); and a traditional Harari home. 

      Overnight stay at Heritage Plaza or similar, Harar.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Drive To Dire Dawa

      Day 5: Drive To Dire Dawa

      You will have breakfast & drive to Dire Dawa (50 Km from Harar). Upon arrival, you will check into a hotel. You will visit Dire Dawa, best known to be the mosaic of culture and the museum of people as most cultures from around the country, and culture of the French, the Bulgarian, the Greek, the Armenian and the Indian are displayed in this remarkable city with the diverse architectural style of the buildings. 

      Overnight stay at Samrat Hotel, Dire Dawa. 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Drive Back To Addis Ababa

      Day 6: Drive Back To Addis Ababa

      After a relaxed breakfast, you will drive back to Addis Ababa where the tour ends. The tour ends with a drop off at Bole International Airport.
