      Stop At: Tiya World Heritage Site, Tiya Ethiopia

      visit the ancient Stella field and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Duration: 1 hour

      Stop At: Adadi Maryam, Addis Ababa Ethiopia

      Adadi Maryam rock-hewn church and Melka Kunture pre-historic tool-making site.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Hawassa - Arba Minch

      Day 2: Hawassa - Arba Minch

      Stop At: Fish Market at Awassa Lake, Awassa Lake, Awassa Ethiopia.

      After breakfast, visit the fish market on the shores of Lake Awassa and proceed driving to Dorze, set in the highlands above Arba Minch. Duration: 2 hours

      The Dorze people are known for their tall beehive-like houses and fine cotton weaving. You will visit the village and learn about the daily lives of these industrious people. Duration: 3 hours

  • Day 3 Day 3: Arba Minch - Turmi, Hamar

      Day 3: Arba Minch - Turmi, Hamar

      Stop At: Crocodile Market, Gamo Gofa, Ethiopia

      Depart to Arba Minch for a boat trip on Lake Chamo to visit the โ€œcrocodile marketโ€, and the local hippos. Duration: 2 hours

      Stop At: Dasenech Village, Omorate Dasenech, Turmi 1000 Ethiopia

      afterwards, depart from Arba Minch to Turmi. You will pass through the village of Weyto, which is home to the Tsemai tribe. Continue through the Weyto Valley to Erbore, you will have a brief visit to a local Erbore village. Finally, proceed to Turmi, home of the Hamer tribe. At night, you can see โ€œEvangadiโ€ traditional night dancing of the Hamer tribe. Duration: 5 hours

  • Day 4 Day 4: Dassenech Tribe

      Day 4: Dassenech Tribe

      Stop At: Dasenech Village, Omorate Dasenech, Turmi 1000 Ethiopia

      Take a day trip to Omorate to visit the Dassenech tribe. Here you will cross the Omo River by local boat and enter a Dassenech village. Afterwards, return to Turmi for a visit of the Hamer village. If lucky attend โ€œBull- jumpingโ€ traditional Hamer coming-off age ceremony.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Turmi To Jinka

      Day 5: Turmi To Jinka

      Stop At: Dimeka Market, Omo, Ethiopia

      Drive to Jinka, via Dimeka and Key Afer. Tuesdays and Saturdays are market days in Dimeka, which is one of the most colorful markets in the area and is visited by many tribes, including Hamer, Benna and Karo. Afterwards, continue to Jinka. Duration: 6 hours

  • Day 6 Day 6: Jinka

      Stop At: Mago National Park, 782km south of Addis on East bank of the Omo River. Drive through the Mago National Park to a local village of the Mursi tribe. The Mursi are known for their lower lip and earlobe plates. Duration: 2 hours

       


      Stop At: South Omo Research Centre Museum, on top of hill in Jinka, Jinka Ethiopia

      In the afternoon returning to Jinka, you can visit the South Omo Museum & Research Center to learn more about the local tribes. Alternatively, take a hike in the surrounding hills to visit a local Ari village. Duration: 4 hours

  • Day 7 Day 7: Jinka- Arba Minch

      Day 7: Jinka- Arba Minch

      Stop At: Konso Cultural Centre, on the road with Stanberry Fields Eco-Lodge, Konso Ethiopia

      Depart from Jinka to Arba Minch via Key Afer and Konso. Thursday is market day in Key Afar, where you will see the Benna and Tsemai tribes trading goods. After the visit, proceed to Konso, are known for their wooden statues, known as wakas, which are erected in honor of dead heroes, as well as their innovative agricultural terracing. You will visit a local village and the cultural museum displaying many waka statues. After the visit, proceed driving to Arba Minch.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Arba Minch - Addis Ababa

      Day 8: Arba Minch - Addis Ababa

      Stop At: Habesha 2000 Restaurant, Namibia St, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

      Drive to Addis Ababa from Arba Minch. In the evening you will have farewell party in one of Ethiopian traditional restaurant where you can see cultural music and dance. Then Transfer to the airport for flight back home. Duration: 2 hours
