  • Day 1 Day 1: Fly To Addis Ababa
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Fly To Addis Ababa

      Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, you will be met at the airport and transfer to Hotel, morning rest and relax at your hotel. Afternoon City tour of Addis Ababa that will cover the following:

      • Addis Ababa means โ€œnew flowerโ€ and is Ethiopiaโ€™s largest city. Sitting at an elevation ranging from 7,000 to 8,300 feet, it is a unique mixture of new, tall buildings mingled with traditional houses
      • Visit Haile Selassieโ€™s former palace which is the now home of the Ethnological Museum. Exhibits here represent the best of the arts and crafts of the country and give an in-depth insight into the various peoples of Ethiopia
      • Visit to the National Museum, known to be the best museum in Africa, where cultural and archaeological relics, including a plaster cast of "Lucy," the 3.2 million-year-old Hominid, are displayed.

      At the end of the day you will see the Mercato, eastern Africaโ€™s largest market.

      Drive over Butajira via Melka Konture Archaeological sites, Adadi Maryam Church and Teya stela to Arbaminch, en route stop to see the Wolaita tribes. O/N Paradise Lodge or Moraheights.

      Day 3: At Arbaminch

      Morning visit Nechsar Park for gazelles, zebras OR drive to Chencha Village for its beautiful huts and the Dorze villages especially the 12 mts heights bamboo tukul and their way of making Shemaโ€™ white dressโ€™ and more other colorful thread dresses. P.M. Afternoon boat trip on Lake Chamo to see hippos and crocodiles O/N Paradise Lodge or Moraheights.

      Day 4

      Drive to Jinka on the way visit Tsemay and Bena tribes at keyafer. In Jinka visit the Ari village & Museum. O/N Jinka Hotel. 


  • Day 5 Day 5

      Day 5

      Drive to Mago Park early morning seeing some wild life and Mursi peoples at their villages and drive back to Jinka for lunch. Afternoon Leave to Turmi and then drive to Omorate  to visit the Dasenech people who are living on the banks of river Omo, where they cross the river using a tree trunk to go to the west cost where the majority of the tribe live. Late afternoon explore villages of the Hammer around Turmi O/N Turmi Lodge or Buska Lodge. 

  • Day 6 Day 6
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 6

      Drive to Karo villages, the Karo wear an elaborate hairstyle sculpted in Chignon of dried mud adorned with Ostrich feathers. They always carry a wooden pillow to protect their hairstyle when they sleep. Depart to Konso, en route stop to visit konso villages. Konso is known for โ€™Totomesโ€™ a grave marks and terracing farms O/N Kenta Lodge.

    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 7

      Drive back to Arabaminch and take a domestic flight To Addis (only WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY & SUNDAY). Flights, both domestic and international are excluded. Please arrange them yourself or asked us for a quote (at additional costs). Meet at the airport in Addis and have a farewell dinner party then transfer out to the Airport for your international flight.
