  • Day 1 Day 1: Arrive Accra

      Day 1: Arrive Accra

      Arrive in Accra, Ghana. Transfer to hotel for check-in and welcome drink.                                                                                                                             


      Overnight in Accra.


  • Day 2 Day 2: Accra City Tour

      Day 2: Accra City Tour


      Drive/walking tour of the old city of Accra, known as Jamestown. View the Ussher and James Forts built by the Dutch (1650) and British (1673), respectively, and also the Lighthouse. Visit the colourful Makola Market where you can find some very colourful African fabrics. Visit Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park & Museum, Black Star (Independence) Square, Osu Castle and the craftsmen at Teshie who make coffins in the shape of vegetables, fruits, cars, aircrafts, etc. After lunch visit Arts and Crafts market where you can pick up some unique souvenirs.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Kumasi Sightseeing

      Day 3: Kumasi Sightseeing


      Transfer to catch your domestic flight to Kumasi. Arrive and visit the Royal Manhyia Palace Museum, home and office of former Ashanti Kings. A regal history that dates back to 1700 is told with relics and artefacts. After which we will visit the Cultural Centre that features the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum and various studios of brass makers, potters, drum carvers, and batik makers. This museum also depicts the numerous exploits of the Ashantiโ€™s especially their wars with British colonial rulers. After lunch take a tour at the Ashanti craft villages to observe craftsmen at work and to purchase souvenir gift items. These villages are:


      - Ahwiaa: where woodcarvers produce Ashanti stools, fertility dolls & walking sticks, etc.


      - Ntonso: where Adinkra cloth is processed (Dyes are extracted from the bark of the tree called Badie)


      - Bonwire: where kente cloth is woven. Kente is a colourful cloth originally worn by people from the royal family.


      Late afternoon transfer to the airport for return flight back to Accra.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Akosombo Boat Cruise

      Day 4: Akosombo Boat Cruise

      Mid-morning departure from Accra to Akosombo. Arrive at Akosombo port and take a cruise onboard โ€˜Dodi Princess 11โ€™ on the Volta Lake to Dodi Island. 


      Enjoy the barbeque lunch served on board the boat whilst you dance to highlife music played by a live band. Return to the port in the late afternoon and depart Akosombo back to Accra.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Kakum National Park & Cape Coast Castle

      Day 5: Kakum National Park & Cape Coast Castle

      Depart Accra to north of Cape Coast to the Kakum National Park, a tropical rainforest in the heart of the Attandaso reserve for an adventurous and breath-taking walk on the โ€˜Canopy Walkwayโ€™. It is composed of 350 meters of suspended bridge and six platforms at a height of 60 meters off this tropical rain forest ground. 


      After lunch visit the Cape Coast Castle built in 1667 by the Swedes and later taken over by the Britishers. This was used during the transatlantic slave trade as a holding point for captives. Visit the West African Historical Museum. The guide will conduct you to the slave quarters and Negotiation Hall where captives were bargained for and sold. Cape Coast Castles has been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Return to Accra in the late afternoon.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Day At Leisure/Evening Departure

      Day 6: Day At Leisure/Evening Departure

      Spend the morning relaxing at the beachfront of your hotel or doing your last-minute shopping. Check out at 6pm and drive to the airport for your international flight back to home.
