      Depending on your arrival time, a short tour of the small but lively town, where you will also have lunch. Once you have all the necessary permits, you set off eastwards. Along the coast, past white lagoons and with a view of turquoise waters, you will head to Di Hamri, one of two marine nature reserves on Socotra. At the eastern end of the bay, you will find a fantastic underwater world in calm seas. A variety of different corals, countless species of fish and sea turtles are at home here. Overnight stay in a tent.

      Day 3: Trekking From Wadi Di Negehen To The Adho Di Meleh Pass

      After an early breakfast, you drive to the Wadi Di Negehen, where your trek into the Hajhir Mountains begins. Once all the equipment, food and luggage have been loaded onto the camel, you are ready to set off. On the slightly ascending path, you will cross several wadis until you reach Kishan, which may carry more or less water depending on the season. The landscape slowly becomes greener and the first dragonโ€™s blood trees come into view. The rock formations are spectacular, as are the views back down to the coast. Provided the clouds allow it. Your destination for the day is Adho Di Meleh, a small collection of stone huts used by shepherds as overnight accommodation. Overnight stay in a tent. (Walking time approx. 6-7 hours).

      First along the Wadi Assagalo and later the Wadi Daโ€™arho, one of the two large wadis in Central Socotra, which drains to the south, you trek southwards along steeply sloping cliff edges. After a short climb, you reach the famous Firmhin plateau, which is completely covered with endemic dragonโ€™s blood trees. You wonโ€™t find anything like it anywhere else on earth! Overnight stay in a tent. (walking time approx. 5-7h)

      Today, the central massif and highest part of the island - Skand - is waiting to be climbed by you. From the white granite outcrops, you will always have unique views down to the sea or across the island. On the way, you will experience the untouched, endemic flora and fauna. You will also meet locals who are out and about with their herds. After a long ascent, the mountains open up and the Skand region lies before you. After a long descent, you reach Taโ€™ohur, where you will spend the night tonight. In the evening, sit around the campfire with the Bedouins and listen to their stories. Overnight stay in a tent.       In the morning, after breakfast and a short drive, you will reach the Dixam Plateau with its incredible dragonโ€™s blood trees. From Shibehon, you have a breathtaking view over the Wadi Dirhor, which has been carved deep into the rock over thousands of years. A narrow path leads you down, where you can take a refreshing dip in the freshwater pools. After climbing back up to the road, you leave the mountains and drive along secluded sandy beaches to the tiny village of Aomak on the south coast of Noged. The people who live here live from fishing or date cultivation. Overnight stay in a tent. (Walking time approx. 3-4 hours).

      Day 7: Hayf Dunes, Momi Plateau, Homhil Nature Reserve And Arher Beach

      In the morning, itโ€™s time to say goodbye to the wild beaches in the south of the island. On the way north, you have the opportunity to climb the high dunes of Hayf and Zahek. The constant wind from the south-east has piled up huge mountains of sand here. From Qatelet Disukr on the Momi plateau, you hike along shepherdโ€™s paths towards the small village of Homhil, another highlight of this trip. An endless forest of incense and dragonโ€™s blood trees awaits you. How unreal this scenery seems. But you will also encounter bottle or cucumber trees and endemic animal species at every turn. From Homhil, the path leads steeply down to the coast, where the vehicles are already waiting for you. You will spend the rest of the day at what is probably the most breathtaking dune on the island. White, fine sand rises up to a height of 400 m on a granite cliff. You spend the night directly on the beach at small freshwater springs. Overnight stay in a tent. (walking time approx. 4-5 hours)

      Day 8: Hoq Dripstone Caves And Return To Hadibu

      An impressive place awaits you today: the Hoq stalactite cave. Over millions of years, bizarre shapes have formed from the eroded limestone. From Terbak, the path climbs slightly at the beginning and after about 2 hours you will have reached the entrance to the cave. Although it is more than 3 km long, you should save some energy for the way back at lunchtime. Back at the vehicles, your route takes you one last time along the pristine beaches back to the capital Hadibu, where you will spend the night today. Overnight stay at the hotel. (Walking time approx. 4-5 hours).
