Day 1: Arriving in Romania and pick up at Cluj airport

Day 2: Turda Salt Mine and Celea Turzii and Rimetea (3 hours round trip)

Stop At: Salina Turda, Aleea Durgaului 7, Turda 401200 Romania

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Cheile Turzii - Turda Gorge, Str. Dr. I.Ratiu 45 A, Cluj-Napoca 401091 Romania

Day 3: Apusene mountains Sub Piatra (3 hours drive)

Stop At: Apuseni Natural Park, Localitatea Sudrigiu 136 Comuna Rieni, 417419 Romania
visit the Apuseni Mountains (part of the Western Carpathians, Sub piatra wooden church and waterfalls. (2-3 hours walk)
Duration: 8 hours

Day 4: Apuseni mountains and Geamana โ€“ The Romanian Village Flooded by a Toxic Lake

Stop At: Geamana Flooded Village, Lupsa 517416 Romania
Once, Geamฤƒna was a village in the Apuseni Mountains. Now is covered almost entirely by waste from the copper career from Rosia Poieni In 1977, when Nicolae Ceausescu decided to release copper exploitation, locals were forced to move away from year to year above the center of the village, to escape the invasion of tailing dam that in time covered their church, their cemetery, the dam just swallowed them.
