After breakfast, youโll take the walking tour through Osaka:
Departure: 9:30 a.m. Duration: 2 hours
Discovering Osaka, Japan's third-largest city
Weโll begin the walking tour of Osaka in front of the iconic Opa Starbucks building, where weโll share fascinating facts about the local culture and the differences between some of Japan's cities. From here, weโll head into the Ame-Mura district, where American influence after World War II transformed the Japanese business world.
Our walk will continue until we reach the Dotonbori Canal, where weโll uncover captivating stories, such as the mysterious curse of Colonel Sanders. Weโll also make a stop for a photo with the famous Glico sign. Youโll also meet the famous doll Kuidaore Taro โ a true symbol of the city!
Our next stop will take us to the stunning Hozenji Temple, with over 383 years of history and one of the few buildings that survived the bombings. Here, weโll discover the Buddha of Finance and Business, a must-see to understand the spiritual and economic essence of Osaka.
To finish, weโll be enticed by the irresistible aromas of wagyu beef, exquisite sashimi, and delicious crab at Kuromon Market. There, weโll learn about the artisanal process of food production and the tradition of Sakai knives.
Two and a half hours later, weโll end the tour around the market area.
