Welcome to Tokyo!
Once you arrive at Narita International Airport (NRT) you can go to the subway that will take you near the hotel where the experience will start, you will have enough time to recover from the flight. Or enjoy some free time to explore the city on your own.
We recommend that you purchase a local SIM card when you arrive in Tokyo, to be in communication with your Adventure Leader. On free days, you will be provided with information on how to go to the sites of interest.

You begin the tour with a visit to the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, an exceptional site showcasing historical buildings from the Edo period to the early 20th century. This museum was a direct source of inspiration for Hayao Miyazaki during the creation of his Oscar-winning film, "Spirited Away." During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to explore authentic samurai residences, merchant houses, and old shops, all carefully restored and presented in a natural setting.
Next, you head to Inogashira Park, located in the heart of Tokyo, famous for its expansive lake and serene landscapes, perfect for enjoying nature and tranquility in the metropolis. Nearby is the Suga Shrine, which gained worldwide fame for appearing in the climax of the movie "Your Name" ("Kimi no Na wa"). This site offers a unique cultural and spiritual experience, allowing visitors to follow in the footsteps of the film's characters and experience a real sacred place of worship.
Afterward, you'll visit the Toei Animation Museum, founded by the leading producer of anime series and movies, including animated versions of Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon.
You can then explore "Memory Lane" Shinjuku Omoide Yokocho, one of the city's largest neighborhoods, where you can find dozens of bars and eateries.

You will enjoy a walk along the Sumida River and its beautiful views of the Tokyo skyline, leaving from Hinode Pier until you reach Asakusa to explore its streets and learn about Buddhism on your visit to Sensoji Temple.
In Akihabara "The Electronic City" you will have free time to meet and explore the city and its anime shops; Don't forget to visit Sega, an iconic building full of arcade machines.
You can take the optional "Made in Tokyo" tour. You can also live the experience of becoming Mario or Luigi and driving on the streets of Tokyo (to do this experience you need an international license)
Get ready to sing your lungs out as you try one of Japan's favorite pastimes: karaoke!

Today you will have the opportunity to visit Nakano Broadway, the famous multi-story complex and shopping center full of anime jewels, manga and more collectible action figures.
You will compare the traditional and the modern in the Harajuku area of โโTokyo. Wander through the forest to the Meiji Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his wife Empress Shoken, who began Japan's transformation from a feudal to a modern society in the early 20th century.
Then you'll head to Harajuku, famous for its colorful street art and fashion scene with quirky vintage clothing and cosplay shops on Takeshita Street, and more traditional and upmarket boutiques on Omotesando Avenue.
You will have free time to visit the world's most famous "Shibuya Crossing", this large avenue is very crowded with pedestrians coming in from all sides.

This day you will have the opportunity to explore the city of Ikebukuro on your own, visit the Sunshine City shopping center and Otome Road in search of anime!
Get ready to catch Pokรฉmon when you visit Pokรฉmon Center Mega Tokyo.
Then enjoy the Namjatown theme park, with amazing attractions, delicious gyoza and dessert!

Make the most of a free day in the city. You can explore on your own or check with your guide what you have planned.
We recommend you visit the gardens of one of the largest parks in Tokyo, Shinjuku Gyoen. Famous for their Cherry Blossom season in spring.
You can also take a walk through the Ameyoko Market where you can find all kinds of Japanese products.
