This stuff will warm the cockles of your heart! We continue across the peat bogs to the west coast of Ireland and on to Galway Bay. Known as the โ€™City of Tribesโ€™, Galway is sure to impress you with its unique character and vibrant atmosphere. Join your guide for an orientation walking tour and explore the bustling university town with its many buskers. At the end of the day, you can go pub crawling and try to find all the pubs that starred in the Galway Girl music video by Ed Sheeran!

  • Day 2 Day 2: Galway

      Day 2: Galway

We take a ferry across the Atlantic Ocean and spend the whole day on Inis Mรณr, the largest of the Aran Islands (mid-April to October). With 3,000 miles of stone walls, it is like nowhere you have ever been. The locals are fluent in Irish Gaelic and super friendly, so you can get chatting to them over a pint. Explore the island on foot, hire a horse and cart or rent a bike. Whatever you do, donโ€™t miss the awe-inspiring Dun Aonghasa, a 3,000-year-old Iron Age ring fort perched on the edge of a 300-foot high cliff. After a tremendous day, itโ€™s time to head back to the mainland for a pint of Guinness or two. From November to mid-April we visit the wilds of Connemara instead, home to many sandy beaches, rugged mountains and misty peat bogs. We stop at Kylemore Abbey and hear a romantic story thatโ€™s sure to bring a tear to your eye. All this fresh air calls for a pint and some shenanigans in Galway.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Galway To Ennis
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3: Galway To Ennis

We leave Galway behind and make our way through the lunar landscape of the Burren, home to ancient tombs, fairies and leprechauns! We stop in the surfing town of Lahinch for lunch before heading to the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher. Stand on the edge of the world and taste the salty sea air when you snap that selfie that is bound to be your new profile picture. The cliffs are famous the world over for their stunning views over the wild Atlantic Ocean and have been used as a backdrop in movies like Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince and The Princess Bride. We have included the entrance to the award-winning Visitor Centre in our trip, so after a wander on the cliffโ€™s edge you can head in and learn the history of this magnificent place. We spend the night in Ennis, County Clare; the renowned home of Irish music. The pubs are filled with locals playing โ€™tradโ€™ music, so pick your seat and join a proper Irish jam session.

Spot โ€™The Sleeping Giantโ€™ and โ€™The Three Sistersโ€™ amongst the rugged coastline and beautiful beaches. Learn how to play hurling an ancient Gaelic game or just relax and take in the stunning views. We head to the party town of Killarney for the night, located on the shores of Lough Leane. Take a horse and carriage ride through the beautiful Killarney National Park and see Ross Castle that was built in the 15th century, before joining the locals in a Kerry โ€˜Dishcoโ€™ and dancing the night away.

      Day 5: Killarney To Dublin

Itโ€™s time to leave the Kingdom of Kerry behind as we go to Blarney Castle in the rebel county of Cork. The legendary castle was built by the MacCarthy of Muskerry dynasty and dates back to 1446. On the top of the castle lies the Stone of Eloquence better known as the Blarney Stone. Now is your chance to hang upside-down at 11 meters and give the stone a big juicy smacker to get the legendary โ€˜gift of the gabโ€™. You will now realise your Guide has kissed the stone many, many timesโ€ฆ We have a photo stop at the imposing Rock of Cashel, once the seat of the Kings of Munster before we head back to the Fair City of Dublin.
