Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport

Stop At: Yerevan, Yerevan
Travelers will be transfered to a 3 star hotel after the airport pick-up.
Duration: 1 hour

Accommodation included: Airport transfer to the hotel. Overnight in a 3 star hotel.

Day 2: Yerevan - Etchmiadzin – Zvartnots – Armenia Wine Factory – Amberd - Yerevan

Stop At: Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Vagharshapat, Armenia
Our accredited guide will accompany you to the Mother Cathedral of Apostolic Armenian Church. He/she will give to our travelers detailed exlanations about the cathedral, its foundation and significance for the Armenians. The travelers will have an entrance into the treasury of the cathedral.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Zvartnots Temple, Yerevan-Vagharshapat Highway Near the Echmiadzin Monastery Complex, Vagharshapat 1101 Armenia
Our accredited guide will lead the travelers to the ruins of Zvartnots temple in Vagharshapat, Armenia. The guide will give details of the foundation, importance and collapse of the temple. Together with the guide travelers will enter the museum of the temple where they will see remnants of the 7th century cathedral and other archaeological finds of the same site that date back to pre-Christian Armenia.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Armenia Wine, Sasunik 0223 Armenia
Travelers will visit Armenia Wine Factory in Sasunik community in Aragatsotn, Armenia. They will have a tour about the factory and will learn exciting facts about wine-making art and culture of the Armenia nation. Travelers will also enjoy wine-tasting after the tour about the factory.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Amberd Fortress, Byurakan Armenia
Travelers will continue their tour from the factory to Amberd Fortress in the same region of Armenia. They will be exposed to the 7th century fortress building that is in the best shape of condition compared with other fortresses of Armenia that were set up at the same period of time. Travelers will see a church built later in the same neighbourhood, will have a stunning view for photo making and will be exposed to a Roman bath built in the hypocaust style.
Duration: 40 minutes

• Lunch: Before lunch break, travelers will enjoy a unique experience of participating in a cooking masterclass in Zvartnots.

Day 3: Yerevan – Geghard-Garni – Lake Sevan - Yerevan

Stop At: The Monastery of Geghard, Near Goght Village, Geghard Armenia
Travelers will have a nice chance to visit a UNESCO Heritage List Site in Armenia. They will start the tour by visiting Geghard Monastery that stands for "geghard" in Armenian that means "lance" that was used by the Roman legioner to stab Jesus during the crucification. The Holy Lance is preserved in the treasury of Etchmiadzin Cathedral. Geghard Monastery had been one of the important pilgrimage sites in historical Armenia. The main building of the monastery is half carved from a rock and half built on a pre-Christian Armenian shrine.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery Road H3, Garni Armenia
Travelers will have a guided tour in the only-remaining hellenistic temple in the Caucasus named Garni. They will be exposed to the Foundation Stone with a Greek inscription, 3rd centruy Roman bath with a Greek inscription on it, will see the temple, a 7th centrury church ruins, 1st century royal summerhouse ruins and an 8th century B.C Urartian cuneiform inscription.
Duration: 50 minutes

Stop At: Monastery Sevanavank, next the Holy Mother of God Church, Sevan Armenia
Travelers will continue their tour to the high-altitude sweet water lake in Armenia named Sevan. Travelers will a visit in Sevanavank monastery to where they will climb over 200 stairs from where a magnificent view will open to the lake from above. After the visit in the monastery travelers will enjoy a nice boat ride in the lake.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

• Lunch: In the country house travelers will particiapte in lavash (traditional Armenian flatbread) baking process.

Day 4: Yerevan city tour

Stop At: Matenadaran - The Museum of Ancient Manuscripts, 53 Mesrop Mashots Avenue Kentron District, Yerevan 0009 Armenia
Travelers will start the 4th day by exploring Yerevan-the capital of Armenia. They will see the Republic Square, Opera House, Cascade Monument, Mother Armenia Statue. Travelers will continue the nice tour with the visit in Matenadaran-the museum of ancient Armenian manuscripts covering a wide spectrum of areas like mathematics, medicine, music, astronomy and others.
Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Armenian Genocide Museum, 8/8 Tsitsernakaberd Highway Kentron District, Yerevan 0028 Armenia
Travelers will visit Armenian Genocide Museum in the memorial complex where they will be exposed to illustrations and photos provided by foreign authors. They will see the Memorial Wall where names of villages and towns are inscribed where mass destructions took lace, will see Genocide Monument and Fire of Eternity that is on all the time.

Day 5: Departure to Zvartnots International Airport

Stop At: Zvartnots International Airport, Yerevan, Armenia
Departure to Zvartnots International airport with an English-speaking guide and a driver. Check-in and departure.
