Itinerary

Day 1: Going Deep Into The Wilderness - Getting To Our 1st Campsite

Stop At: Algonquin Provincial Park, Haliburton, Ontario K0J 2M0 Canada
At 12pm, meet your guide on Canoe Lake beach. Get to know your fellow group members (and new best friends from around the world) over lunch from Henrietta's Pine Bakery. After canoe instruction from your guide, paddle together into the Algonquin interior (about 15km/4 hours). There is a 300m portage and a large beaver dam to cross. Upon arrival at our gorgeous wilderness campsite, we will set up camp and collect firewood. Participants can relax in hammocks or swim while your guide/chef prepare dinner. After dinner, we relax by the fire with S'mores and story telling.

Stop At: Canoe Lake Access Point, Highway 60 At Km 14.1, Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario Canada
This is where we meet, eat lunch and receive canoe training.

Meals included:
• Lunch: A gourmet sandwich from the world famous Henrietta's Pine Bakery & fruit (usually strawberries, sometimes our apples)
• Dinner: Salad, honey-garlic beef (filet mignon & rib eye) over spaghetti w/veggies (usually local from our farm), sweet dessert
Accommodation included: Tent, air pad (over 120kg gets foam), sleeping bag (and a fresh liner), soft pillow case (make pillow w/your clothing)

Day 2: Exploring Algonquin Park's Backcountry - Looking For Wildlife

Stop At: Algonquin Provincial Park, Haliburton, Ontario K0J 2M0 Canada
Your paradise day begin with an epic breakfast. Swim, paddle, read in your hammock, hike, take photographs for National Geographic submission or just relax to the sound of loon calls. Your guide can show you the best places to fish, photograph or practice solo canoe strokes. Usually, the group decides to go on a morning 3-5km hike. After lunch, there is usually some hammock time and lake swimming. We usually go paddle in search of moose and beaver around dusk. Dinner is followed another campfire to roast our remaining marshmallows. Star gazing will be the best you have ever seen. And, your guide will howl for wolves. If we are lucky, they might respond.

• Breakfast: Fresh ground/percolated coffee/tea, orange slices, eggs, meat (bacon/deli), home fried potatoes, cheese
• Lunch: Varies - Hot dogs & beans w/naan bread or Tuna Macaroni & cheese or deli meat/veggie/cheese wraps. Fruit dessert.
• Dinner: Chicken teriyaki, veggies (usually from our local farm), Japanese rice/lentil/quinoa. Sweet dessert. Tea/hot chocolate
Accommodation included: Tent, air pad (over 120kg gets foam), sleeping bag (and a fresh liner), soft pillow case (make pillow w/your clothing)

Day 3: The Big Push To Our Second Campsite - 1300m Portage

Stop At: Algonquin Provincial Park, Haliburton, Ontario K0J 2M0 Canada
After breakfast, we paddle to an epic portage (1340m), and move deeper into the park. We will paddle 8-12km to our next campsite. After lunch and set up, there will be some hammock and swimming time. Early evening will have new wildlife encounter opportunities.
Duration: 14 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast: Fresh ground & percolated coffee, orange slices, the best blueberry pancakes ever, pure local maple syrup
• Lunch: Varies - Hot dogs & beans w/naan bread or Tuna Macaroni & cheese or deli meat/veggie/cheese wraps. Fruit dessert.

• Dinner: Butter chicken, veggies (usually from our local organic farm) over couscous. Sweet dessert & tea/hot chocolate.
Accommodation included: Tent, air pad (over 120kg gets foam), sleeping bag (and a fresh liner), soft pillow case (make pillow w/your clothing)

Day 4: A 2nd Paradise Day To Get Intimate With Nature

Stop At: Algonquin Provincial Park, Haliburton, Ontario K0J 2M0 Canada
Exploring & chillaxing in the heart of Algonquin Provincial Park.
Duration: 14 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast: Fresh ground/percolated coffee/tea, orange slices, fresh baked bannock with local honey.
• Lunch: Hot dogs & beans w/naan bread or Tuna Macaroni & cheese or deli meat/veggie/cheese wraps. Fruit dessert.
• Dinner: Sesame chicken, veggies and lentils over jasmine rice. Sweet dessert & tea/hot chocolate.
Accommodation included: Tent, air pad (over 120kg gets foam), sleeping bag (and a fresh liner), soft pillow case (make pillow w/your clothing)

Day 5: Completing The Loop - A Scenic Trip Home

Stop At: Algonquin Provincial Park, Haliburton, Ontario K0J 2M0 Canada
Now that all group members are great friends and confident trippers, the trip back will seem easier than it is. The paddle home involves three short portages, several lakes and some of the best scenery Algonquin Park has to offer. Just like the voyageur trapper/explorers of years gone by, you will return home with a true sense of wilderness accomplishment.
